Situated in Castle Rock, Washington, and only a short drive from the legendary Mt. St. Helens, this conveniently located hotel offers comfortable accommodations in an ideal location. I was positively surprised to see that our room looked nicer than in the pictures. The room was quite spacious and had everything we needed (including a table and two chairs, which came in handy for dinner). The front desk team was very friendly. Please be aware that the town shuts down early these days and plan dinner accordingly.
Located in downtown Kelso, Washington, near I-5, this hotel is 2 blocks from the Columbia River. It features basic rooms with free Wi-Fi and serves a daily continental breakfast. Location was convenient and reasonably quiet. Breakfast not really applicable since both my friend and I have to be gluten free. All we took was OJ and some spreads for our own bread we brought.
This Kelso hotel is 10 miles from Mt. St. Helens and less than 5 minutes’ from Cowlitz Regional Conference Center. A full, hot breakfast of scrambled eggs, hash browns, and sausages is featured. The staff was most accomodating when a medical emergency caused us to extend our stay. when in the Kelso or surrounding area we will be sure to stay here at the Best Western Aladdin Inn! and we will recommend this property to our friends.

Castle Rock is close to Mt St Helens National Monument which makes it an ideal place to stay for the night when planning a hike in the park (which is beautiful). The town is small with a good grocery store and a few restaurants. We had takeout from Papa Pizza Pete and it was excellent. Castle Rock closes down early since there is less tourism these days.
Very charming small town on the Cowlitz River. We enjoyed the shops and local flavor and beautiful flowers planted everywhere. Very easy to park and just walk around. There is a nice pathway that runs along the river as well. We ate at the Oasis Bar several times which had a great variety of options which everyone seemed to enjoy.
Castle Rock is near Mt Saint Helens and on a very beautiful river with wonderful beaches. The downtown is quaint with shops that you won't find anywhere else. Has a new micro brew pub, antiques and a new home decor store that is well worth the trip. Close the Seattle, Portland the the ocean beaches.
Great start off point to bicycle ride up Spirit Lake Hwy (hwy 504). Good shoulder most of the ride. A challenging ride up 7000' & 54 miles up to Johnston's Ridge. Last 7 miles closed to cars till May 15th. If you like cycling events, Do the event ride Tour de Blast on June 22 2019.
Such a wonderful place to stay just off of I-5 in Washington. We were able to walk to one of the local Mt St. Helens educational centers. We could see Silver Lake and Mt. St Helens from our comfortable room. The hostesses were kind and offered such warm hospitality our whole stay. The place is very clean, comfortable and quiet. It would be a nice destination point for 3 days/2 nights, however we were traveling to Mt Rainier and stayed only one night as a stopover point north of Portland. I would go back to spend a couple of days to really take in the views and National Park offerings.
