I'm easy to please, good bed, decent water pressure, quiet, I'm good. Wasn't in room much, out looking at scenery, visiting antique stores. Wyndham/Marriott level folks will NOT want to stay here.
Didn't spend any time in the city Cleveland but saw some interesting landmarks when I was driving thru it to my next destination. I would definitely go back. It is close to the beautiful Anna Ruby Falls and Helen. I'm not a great "mountain" driver but it wasn't bad at all. All the roads are paved which is a plus.
Cleveland is beautiful. There are only a few places to eat but it’s a small town so that was expected. Cleveland was easy to navigate with a ingles and Walmart providing everything we needed for our stay.
The town itself is small, but it has a nice "city" feel to it. The restaurants are good and there is variety. The scenery is gorgeous and it's close to other towns so I loved staying in Cleveland and getting to do things outside of Cleveland as well. There is gem grubbin, shops and restaurants.
Love the area, most people were really nice and congenial but the hotel staff were not. It could be difference in cultures but I would never treat anyone like that if I were visiting and and wanted them to come back. Could be I caught them at a bad time but I don't know. No one was at the desk when I came in, had to wait for them to appear from some back room. I was not greeted when they got to the desk. It was a bit cluttered and appeared disorganized. The hotel was ok, clean enough and they did tidy up quickly. I didn't like the notes left on the bed saying hang up my towels to reuse them or leave them on the floor to get new one. It sounded like a dorm reminder to tidy up before parents day. There was no door hanger saying do not disturb or maid service requested. We stayed two nights and really did not need anything done but no door hanger to say so. Their idea of breakfast and the food area in the lobby was small, not good. Only 1 pack of coffee in the room and the one cup coffee pot needed cleaning good. The fan in the bathroom made a LOT of noise and didn't work. Several towels had brownish stains but at least smelled like they had been laundered. I've staying in Knights Inn before and they were much nicer and better managed. I would not recommend this unless there wasn't anything else around available.
We didn't visit Cleveland, GA as the Country Hideaway at Mountain Lakes resort at which we stayed is about 9 mi.away from this town. We did visit nearby Helen, GA that has a fair sized grocery, good restaurants, Habersham Vineyard & Winery and lots of charm with an Alpine village feel.

The best thing about this hotel was the fact it is within walking distance to a Dunkin Donuts, Chic-Fil-A, McDonalds, Zaxby's and Burger King. There are a couple of other eating places nearby that are more local to the area. It is also only about 15 minutes from Helen, Ga.
