Columbus is a great little town. It’s so beautiful and the people are really friendly. It has many good restaurants, Zaharikos is awesome! It’s an old fashioned soda fountain shop from the early 1900’s with good food and awesome ice cream and soda drinks! It’s close to Nashville, Brown Couny park and Indiana University in Bloomington. The drive there to Nashville ( only 15 miles) and Bloomington is hilly and scenic. Gorgeous in the spring and in the fall with the color changes. Lots of cute shops! And the outlet mall is great!
If you are interested in modern architecture this is a great stop. We came here on the way to another location so we wouldn't have driven the 10hrs just to get here. All the main buildings on the self tour are worth it. Two of the ones out of the center of town were in disrepair but we still liked seeing them.
columbus has much to do and alot close by to do. i definitely suggest visiting nearby nashville IN and the commons at columbus. Bloomington has a lot of hip/cool stores in their square but also has antique and stores for people 30 and up.
Brown County State Park is just 22 minutes away from Columbus, and also Nashville too. Anderson Falls is also about 20 minutes away from Columbus, so it's a great starting point for beautiful Nature in both directions.
I dont have much to say about the city itself, but it's not far from beautiful brown county and Nashville, IN. Just a short drive west on 46 you'll find yourself at the state patk entrance and a little further past that your in town in Nashville, which has wonderful shops. Plenty of places to eat or drive north on I-65 to the Edinburgh outlet mall for some shopping.
We stay in Columbus when we go to nearby Nashville. 24 hour stores, late night restaurants, near the interstate. The Waffle House there is the best I've been too over the years, fluffy waffles and perfect cheesy scrambled eggs.
The staff was both friendly and helpful. A tasty choice of restaurants within easy walking distance. A great night’s sleep and enjoyable breakfast. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring the Architectural gems that made Columbus, Indiana a “must see” stop on our first 2021 road trip. Loved everything about our stay. Great value. We’ll be back.
Columbus
The location was very convenient. Everything I needed was literally across the street or just a block away.( ex. Walmart, convenience stores, restaurants). Hotel staff was very personable and helpful. This hotel definitely exceeded my expectations and I will be back for another stay! Keep up the great work!
We took our fur baby for her very first hotel stay and she loved it! The hotel was very clean, comfortable and beautiful. All the staff was very friendly. They had just begun to serve breakfast again because of the pandemic so we were lucky. We will stay there again ☺
**We SO appreciated the help the Front desk manager gave us in getting us another room after our reservation was cancelled at the last minute after a flood occurred at the hotel. **The bed was very comfortable.
Nice well-lit bathroom with plenty of towel racks and an exhaust fan. Modern decor. Comfortable bed and pillows. Lots of electrical outlets. Couldn’t hear other guests. It was a good room in a nice hotel.
The hotel was clean and rooms were nice. The hotel staff was accommodating when we requested a room with a tub/shower combo instead of just a shower.
Location was typical amidst several other hotels/corporate restaurants near an interchange.
The breakfast was not that great but the hotel was very clean. Would have liked a hot tub.
The hotel had a stylish design and the rooms were big enough.
