me and the family really loved everything about chinook winds motel it was a great place and some of the best people there. they make sure you have everything you need and take really good care of you. we brought some food to cook and they let us use there personal grill and even gave us spices and seasonings and offered us to use there kitchen in the house. the kids loved it they have horse shoes, corn hole , the river and chickens running around and they do huge bonfires in the middle of the place. we will definitely be going there at least once a year! just wanna give huge thanks to all the people running the place.

Clean and comfortable room with a lovely western farmhouse style. Very kind and friendly staff. We needed to check-in after office hour and a very convenient remote check-in mode was available.

The location is beautiful. Communicating with the facility before arrival was easy, messages were answered quickly and thoroughly. Everyone I interacted with that was staff were great. Friendly, polite, and helpful. They were very accommodating with check in and parking (with a 28 ft snowmobile trailer). The continental breakfast was an additional $5 per person eating, but there were quite a few options for grab and go, and he was nice about encouraging us to take all we wanted. The restaurant is also very good with quality food.

The owners were kind and helpful. The food was great! Very clean. Much attention to western decor details. The large special handicapped shower was amazing and the first I've Ever seen! ;)

This was a 2 day pit stop on our way home from Yellowstone/teton. Pleasantly surprised at how much we liked dubois. Decent resturants "cowboy cafe/fluffy cow". Outdoor activities such as riverside walking trail, fish hatchery tour, military museum, hike glacier trail to waterfalls, scenic overview. We had fun

What a super cool town, I mean, what could be a super cool town. Gotta check out the Jackalope museum/shop. The rest? Bleh. This town is in the center of some amazing scenery, on the main road to some even more amazing parks. This should be a tourist boom town... but, middle of summer, and practically ghost town. So sad.

I spent one night in Dubois on my way to Grand Teton National Park. The small downtown "strip" of one or two blocks looked charming, but I did not explore. There is a decent grocery store where I bought picnic food for dinner and breakfast. Pretty much all the people I saw were at the tavern in town. Dubois is a small oasis about an hour drive from the Tetons, but it is a beautiful drive with impressive views of the mountains.

Bed was comfortable. Plenty of pillows. Kitchen was very inviting. I had a difficult time reaching dinnerware and pots and pans in low to the floor cabinets. Handicapped with back issues made the low toilet almost laughable. Quite the tight area.

DuBois, right now, is basically a small town that travelers pass thru. There are adequate gas stations, etc., but the cafe/restaurants are almost non-existant. The waiting time for a table is deplorable. And to top it off, one of the two cafes in town is closed on Wednesdays! We did find a public restroom at least 2 blocks off the Main Street, but no direction signs as to how to get there. Both food and lodging were good, but prices were horrendous! DuBois doesn’t want to be another Jackson, but it doesn’t mind charging the same extremely high prices!!

The individual buildings and general setting has considerable charm: Trees, grass, fresh air, and hens running loose. With ample parking space, it is possible to reverse up to the door to unload, then park more tidily. There is access to Wind River from the garden (through a gate that should be child safe for younger children); some guests were fishing when I went to take a look. The lodge is well situated for visits to the nearby national parks and reserves, and coffee and restaurants can be found in Dubois.

This property was our salvation after a reservation elsewhere fell through. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, our room was comfortable and clean (and cleaned every day, with fresh towels provided), breakfast was nice and overall value for money was excellent, especially considering our last minute booking in peak season. We fell in love with the small town of Dubois during our stay and discovered some great eating places.

The room was clean. Four packets of regular coffee (and two decaf) were left for the guests' use. Dubois is well situated for onward travel, but as there are several other places where the staff are more considerate, I'd recommend trying them.
