This is one of several rooms in a beautiful old home. The room was clean and had great features: very comfortable king bed, ensuite bathroom with large shower, solid sink and console table, plenty of electrical outlets, 2 large closets, blackout curtains, TV, microwave, and fridge. We really appreciated the small upgrades in design: the single lever faucet in bathroom, the 2 touch control lamps by the beds (with multiple electrical plugs), the larger than usual fridge, the toiletries and toothbrushes provided in the bathroom, the gracious seating area on front porch. Although facing onto the Garden State Parkway, the room was quiet and you could hear no traffic. The parking on the side of the house worked very well for us. A word on the house: this is obviously a gracious old house from the turn of the century. It has beautiful patterned hardwood floors and substantial original molding. My first visit to East Orange, due to needing a hotel room during a Newark flight interruption. I didn’t see anything in East Orange worth coming back for, frankly. The town seems down on its luck. I used public transportation to get to and from the airport and that worked ok. The city hall looks nice and clean but that’s about it.Guest review byWolfgangUnited States
