Bonazaville was great. So many biildings and exhibits. Learned a lot. Rode in a couple old cars. Has huge bulldozer and planes. You can go inside a c47 plane. Went to some thrift stores around town. Stayed at Brewhalla. That was a good place. Glad we went there. Went to the Hjemkomst in Moorhead MN across river. Really cool Norweigian info and a replica long lboat and a church. Great stories. Fargo is well worth a visit.
Fargo is well worth a visit. There are fun and interesting attractions like Bonanzaville and the Zoo. Bonanzaville is a large collection of historical buildings and small museums in one area. Fargo hosts various festivals, fairs and attracts many concerts. Fargo has a very good restaurant scene. There are many chain restaurants plus many individually owned places. Some of the locally owned places have been featured on Diners, Drive ins and Dives. Blackbird Woodfired Pizza and Nichole’s Fine Pastry are two of the places DDD profiled that I went to. Please do your homework in the hotels you select. I selected the super eight by Wyndham. It was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in in my whole life. It was just nasty smell of mold right when you walk in the door when I got to my room there was blood on the carpet holes in the bathroom wall. The shower wall was falling apart the fridge had a nasty odor there was a bar in my window to keep it closed so no one could break in because of lock and work on it and I was on the first floor. They advertised a really nice looking pool in their pictures but the pool was drained. It look like a storage closet and reading comments on this hotel the pool has been out of commission for a long time, but they still advertise it as being up and running. The staff is Indian and I had a hard time communicating with them because of their broken English. Once you check into your room, you don’t see them anymore it’s like they went home. They leave a number for you to call if you need them, and when I called it like four times, no one would answer, I can’t believe the health department hasn’t shut this place down there’s literally mold, growing inside the light fixture in my bathroom, and I kept on waking up all night scratch and thinking they were bedbugs on me. We called the number that was provided in the lobby. A person answered and was half asleep when we were talking on the phone. Finally he went down and meet us. He stated they were fully booked and called me twice on phone. Ice water was available throughout the day which was such a nice bonus! Having a small fridge in the room was convenient. Staff was very friendly and the rooms were nice and clean with comfortable beds. Our room was at the very end of the hall on the first floor which was super quiet and parking was just out the door.
