The area is very busy and lots of foot & vehicle traffic.

The area is very busy and lots of foot & vehicle traffic. Make sure you have proper reservation as overnight Fort Lauderdale is sold out on rental car & hotels, February throughout March is considered there busy time of year in which I did not know before traveling there. The weather was absolutely perfect.

Fort Lauderdale hotels & resorts are expensive even though...

Fort Lauderdale hotels & resorts are expensive even though they are old properties that need renovations. When spending $450 per night, I expect it to be nice, and especially clean. I cancelled our reservation at the Bahia Mar Resort because it lists a beach shuttle. After speaking to them, I found out that there is not. So many hotels advertise “on the beach” or “beachfront” & they actually are quite far from the actual beach access point. I enjoyed Fort Meyers so much more than Fort Lauderdale. I will go back to Fort Lauderdale only to get on a cruise ship.

Beautiful water but the beach sand is way too deep so walking in it is difficult. Also, it is way too noisy as the main strip is located right next to the beach. There isno.com or restfulness about laying out as all you here are loud trucks and revving engines of cars. Not a peaceful beach at all.

Walking a lot is harder for me, being older with Arthritis, therefore, I used Uber every time I left the property. I'm not sure about other guesthouses or Airbnb locations, if they were more suitable or not for me.

Everything about Hotel Maren was perfect. The staff was lovely. The location was perfect. The hotel is directly across from the beach, and in walking distance of lots of restaurants and shops. The room was clean and we had a beautiful marina view. The food and drinks we had at the restaurant down in the lobby and by the pool were very good! Overall this was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at and it worth every penny! When we go back to Fort Lauderdale, we will be booking at Hotel Maren.

Everything was great. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend the North Beach Hotel to anyone that was in search of a place on Fort Lauderdale Beach. Great location, walking distance (1 block) to the beach. Restaurants and bars are all walkable and it is a short Uber/Taxi to Las Olas Blvd.

It is a budget friendly hotel. The room is very clean and it is located very near Fort Lauderdale Airport. It has an airport shuttle which is a plus. The shuttle works from 6am. There are not many options to eat within walking distance but the hotel has a restaurant and the food was pretty good. The room looked like it was renovated.

Brand new hotel located in an excellent area of Fort Lauderdale directly across the street from the beautiful beach! So modern and clean, upscale furnishings, comfy beds, great pool and rooftop deck! Close enough to the busy parts of FLL (Las Olas, central beach, etc.) but in a quieter area that is relaxing and good for families.

I appreciate the fact that the hotel is within walking distance to the beach. Fort Lauderdale Beach, in particular, is nice because it's not overly crowded. Additionally, the hotel offers good value for its price, and the room I stayed in was clean. The staff are friendly, and check in and out is easy, its a affordable.

Very good service from the hotel manager. The hotel is being renovated so consider it to be up & coming, but the older room I was in was certainly comfy and clean, and it stayed cool in the Florida summer. The pool area is very nice, the grounds are well kept, and it's very close to the beach

It was close to the ocean. The property was a collection of refurbished hotels with many different pools, lots of palm trees and vegetation. It was like a little oasis in the middle of the madness of Fort Lauderdale Beach.
