We were at Lauderdale-By-the -Sea. It was quiet and peaceful at the beach and active in the town at the waterfront. Good restaurants, great service, good value. There was a lot of outdoor entertainment and the people were very friendly. We ate at Aruba Beach Cafe - yummy fish. We could walk all the way from our hotel to the town via the beach. We felt safe all the time.

My first time was 20 years ago over there and the town was under developed. Through the years you could see improvements the last time I was in Fort Lauderdale was in 2019. Today it looks 360° better. It looks like a normal town with new beautiful buildings and not a run around run down city with new buildings I saw in 2004.

On our next visit we will avoid Soleado Hotel.
On our next visit we will avoid Soleado Hotel. It was the worst hotel EVER!!. The toilet didn't work the 2 days we were there even after reporting it to the Andreas the man in charge who was very rude. He told us he doesn't work on Sundays when I asked him why the toilet still wasn't fixed after I had told him on Saturday.

Traffic is terrible, the city has been over built and the streets have not been improved to keep up with the growth. Poorly planned roads and traffic lights do not know what the traffic lights in front or behind are doing so you end up stopping at each traffic light. There are other places in FL that you can go and spend time at the beach or attractions without wasting time looking at the car in front of you.

The property itself could use a bit of TLC in the rooms, the plugs and power points are all surface mounted and the were no cupboards. However, with that said, the place has a fantastic location. Your on the beach and the pool areas are superb. The help from the bar staff and the guys that take deck chairs to the beach was fantastic. The reception staff were very polite. The rooms very kept very clean. I will stay at this hotel again. The location for restaurants, supermarkets, etc is perfect.
Everything! The resorts location was amazing, right on the beach, and only a 3 min walk to downtown Lauderdale by the Sea. They provided you with so many value-added options like beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes, boogie boards, etc. Resort was extremely clean and well maintained. The entire area is so vibrant, safe and chill, and our first time to Lauderdale by the Sea and the Windjammer will not be our last.
Amazing location and staff were really helpful and polite, especially Guillermo and Nicolas, they couldn’t been nicer. They made us feel so welcome. We have been staying in different hotels in the area for the last 25 years, and I have to say North Beach hotel and their staff were the best we have. Definitely going back!!!
Location was fine - back from the beach so a little quieter, and a smaller more intimate hotel with a small pool and much less people than the giant hotels on the beach front. Easy walk to the beach from here.
Very nice resort with attentive and pleasant staff. It's really old style Florida at it's best and a nice change to all the chain hotels that look so much alike at the end of the day.
