Lauderdale by the Sea is great for all ages, kids can enjoy the pool or ocean. beach chairs & towels seem to be available at a lot of motels, this is a great convenience to visitors. Umbertos has great pizza, we didn't eat out all the time, as it was great to pick up a few groceries at Publix or Walmart and have sandwiches/hot chicken for meals throughout our stay. Minimally a bar fridge and microwave, and coffee maker are a great asset in a room when you're there for a 7 to 10+ day stay.

It was okay.
It was okay. I think the transportation service could have been better. We were dropped off at arrivals instead of departure to travel to Chicago which made it a little inconvenient for a traveler with disability.

We loved Lauderdale-by-the-Sea , because it has the best of both . the beach and the inland waterways, with their fantastic yachts and property. The water taxi is a must - the crew are very knowledgeable . Plenty of restaurants - parks - malls - waterways.

As my pictures show, this accommodation I booked in Fort Lauderdale was horrible. The name of this accommodation is "Airport - Book Now! Under New Management." It is currently under investigation by Booking.com, following not only my complaint but also following several other complaints that have been placed against this place as well. It was filthy, had a rusty and dirty locker, and the whole room smelled. The linens and the sheets of the bed were filthy, and the whole bed shook when I moved in my bed and also when the guest occupying the bottom bed moved. which made me very concerned for my safety. Also there wasn't even a ladder to get to the top bunk bed, and I almost fell getting to my bed. If that would have happened I would have sued. THIS ACCOMMODATION IN FORT LAUDERDALE WAS ALSO IN A BAD AND RUNDOWN NEIGHBORHOOD, AND GIVES THE CITY A VERY BAD IMAGE!!! The pictures advertized are nothing like the reality found at the property. Also the manager on the phone was extremely rude, He was acting as though he was the customer when in fact he should have apologized for running such a deplorable accommodation. He was condescending and hung up on me after making excuses by saying that given that this place caters to young travellers that that somehow makes it ok. Unbelievable! This manager offered the rudest customer service I ever had to deal with in my whole life. I highly recommend NOT TO BOOK THIS ACCOMMODATION. Luckily Booking.com issued me a refund, when the manager wouldn't. THIS IS THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BOOKED IN MY WHOLE LIFE.

We traveled to Fort Lauderdale to attend a wedding so we were only there for a long weekend at the beginning of March. Though we arrived in the rain, the following days were sunny, comfortable and windy. The beach looked inviting but the surf was rough. If you plan on visiting during the Spring, make sure that you select accommodations away from the Spring Break crowd.

Fort Lauderdale has some great quirks and amenities!
Fort Lauderdale has some great quirks and amenities! Las Olas and the water taxis are great fun and affordable to see the Millionaire Mansions that face the water! I also recommend the Jungle Cruise, you see those mansions and also visit a private island for a family style dinner, show and exotic animals in enclosures!

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at this Fort Lauderdale hotel for a family trip, and it exceeded all our expectations. The location is superb, with easy access to the beach and fantastic restaurants. The hotel itself is clean, and the multiple pools added a refreshing touch to our stay. What truly set this experience apart was the extraordinary staff – their friendliness and helpfulness made our trip memorable. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a perfect blend of location, cleanliness, and exceptional service!"
Absolutely exceeded all my expectations. The room (king sweet with ocean view). 5 stars hands down. Huge room, gorgeous view, extremely clean. Can't believe the price for what you get. This place truly feels like a 5 star high end hotel, but at the same time you feel like your on a island and not Florida. The staff were incredible and amazed that all the beach chairs, floats, kids toys are all free use. Will never stay anywhere else again in Fort lauderdale
My room view overlooked the beach and was stunning. The pool and seating area around the pool were fantastic, making it the best place to chill out when I was at the hotel. The food and drink from the dining room was always good. Rosa, who did the check-in service was outstanding !!!!!! Thanks Rosa for all the help and information! They guys in the Valet station were charming, friendly and helpful...and I didn't even have a car!
Hotel stay was absolutely fantastic. Decor was welcoming, beachy, and so comfortable. Every detail was well thought of and the unit had everything imaginable that you would need. Place is spotless and staff was great. Its literally steps to a beautiful beach and walking distance to the pier with great restaurants and entertainment. Hands down my favourite hotel in Fort Lauderdale.
Everything, service is great convenient spot in Fort Lauderdale. Found this place because one night I was out in a bad hotel in Fort Lauderdale and then changed to this one and since then whenever I’m Fort Lauderdale I always book this place. Priced well and Starbucks is a 5 min walk and the beach is less than a 2 min walk.
nostalgic strip style motel;
clean, convenient and walking distance to a number of restaurants.
I used it as stopover the night before boarding a cruise, and it is perfect for this function. Very close to Fort Lauderdale Airport and Port Everglades cruise terminals.
I will use this location again and often.
This place is a haven in the middle of Fort Lauderdale - close to the beach and mall and surrounded by great little shops and restaurants. The best part about it though are Billy and Lisa who run the hotel / motel. They are SO helpful and made our stay very easy. Nothing is a bother to them. Thank you both!!!
The Hotel location was excellent. Public transportation was one block away. Shopping and restaurants were all within a short walk. A short ride on the bus would get you to Fort Lauderdale beach. The hotel provided a shuttle service to Fort Lauderdale Airport.
Location was great, near the beach and backing onto the waterways. Very intimate boutique hotel,
Very comfy bed with lovely linen. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Lovely pool area and an area to dine near the waterway if you are inclined.
First trip to Fort Lauderdale. So I was booking everything online and it all lined up great from the flight, to taxi from airport, uber back. Loved the location of the hotel and our room view of the ocean from the 10th floor.
It was close to the ocean. The property was a collection of refurbished hotels with many different pools, lots of palm trees and vegetation. It was like a little oasis in the middle of the madness of Fort Lauderdale Beach.
Location was fine - back from the beach so a little quieter, and a smaller more intimate hotel with a small pool and much less people than the giant hotels on the beach front. Easy walk to the beach from here.
Walking distance to the beach. Very close to my favorite spot - Fort Lauderdale. Room was very clean! We will definitely come back! And we could see sunshine from the balcony!! Amazing hotel! 🌅🌅🌅
This resort was amazing! The rooms are incredible and clean. The resort is actually located on the beach which gives it a different feel from other Fort Lauderdale hotels. We can’t wait to return!
Was an affortable price and near airport. it has two entries. parking lot is included, essential near hotel like wallgreens and some food chains. near to de i95 perfect to go to Miami or downtown.
Loved staying in Old Fort Lauderdale style Hotel! With all the updates for todays leisure lifestyle!
Very comfortable bed!
Great pool!
Easy walk to the beach!
Near everything!
