The property is beautiful and quiet. The view of the stars at night is something I haven't seen since I was a kid. My wife and I were there for an anniversary getaway and is exactly what we needed shopping and dinner on main Street was great.

Beautiful German town with so many stores, restaurants, and museums plus a whole lot of wineries in town and just outside. Alexander Winery was our favorite this trip. We ate at Friedhelms which was just a stone’s throw from our motel. They serve German & American food and everyone we spoke to in town said it was as their favorite place to eat.

Historical small town with lots of wineries, orchards, brewery, many small businesses especially on the main street (they close early but thats ok), my favorite coffee shop haus 😃 with super flavorful real pastries 😃, and we enjoyed and recommended pioneer museums with rich history, Japanese garden is super small but very pleasant, memorial :including the presidents who served in second world war II, the park with monuments including the one with native Indians and german settlers. Pacific war museum with kids area as well. Love the stone buildings and clean town. Recommend

Plenty of good food and drink and a few museums and plenty of Vineyards. Enchanted rock is only place to see or hike. This is a good place to spend a day on the way to other Texas hill country locations such as Sonora caverns, Big Bend, Fort Davis, Martha, Austin or San Antonio.

Fredericksburg is one of my family’s favorite hill country spots to go. The atmosphere downtown is unique in that small town feel. The shops on Main Street are nice, as well as, the local taverns with their local bands. There are military museums and wineries to experience whatever your flavor may be. We enjoy walking Main Street sampling the various shops and eateries. I highly recommend a visit to Fredericksburg 🤗

Beautiful city. Lots of great shops, restaurants and bars. Had a great breakfast at a coffee shop across the street from our cottage on Washington. Cute souvenirs there, too. FREDERICKSBURG is an easy town to walk most anywhere. Needed milk and a phone charger and even found a Dollar General less than 4 blocks away on Main Street.

    Very cute downtown.

Very cute downtown. We arrived late in the afternoon and shops close at 5:00 on week days. We got very little shopping in, that was a bummer. We left after breakfast as a bad storm was coming and wanted to be on the road before that happened. I’ll be back.
