We love Gaylord. We have camped out there three times.
We love Gaylord. We have camped out there three times. Just beautiful. Downtown Gaylord has many restaurants and grocery stores. But, what makes it special is that ln iess than one hour, we can get to the west and Lake Michigan. We have used Gaylord for a starting point for many day trips: Petoskey, Mackinac City, Little Traverse Bay, Traverse City, and Torch Lake. We love the area.Guest review byPatricia - 8.0

Lots of great salons, shopping, restaurants, bars, golfing and churches. Family friendly area. Great place to relax, recharge and feed your soul! The Otsego Lake State Park beach is huge. Stayed at the Americas Best Inn. Booked a king room and wound up with two queens. The beds were way too hard and uncomfortable and the pillows were worse. I would not recommend this facility based on our one experience.Guest review byMarshall - 8.0

Nice to be able to park right near the door. Although I-75 runs right by the hotel, since my room was on the side away from the expressway, I didn't notice much noise.
