Hotel in Glenwood Springs
Featuring a restaurant, bar and lounge, the historic Hotel Colorado is located in Glenwood Springs. Rooms feature mountain views and free WiFi. Mattress needs to be flipped, rotated or replaced. The telephone is located on the nightstand and most people tend to sit on the mattress side closest to phone and because this happens on all room reservations this causes a depression in the mattress at this location and is very uncomfortable to sleep on. Move phone away from bed and this issue is resolved. Mattress is designed to be slept on and not continuously sat on in a common location. Go to room 430 and you will see what I'm describing.

We went to Glenwood Springs to just relax in the hot springs, which were awesome. They're in the process of adding more pools, so right now there's construction going on, but nothing that interrupted our experience. I can't comment on other activities since we didn't visit them, but in the past we have hiked up to Hanging Lake, which is beautiful with the 2 waterfalls. A nice weekend getaway from Denver!
We live in Colorado so our drive out there wasn’t too long, about three and a half hours. It was a very pretty drive through the mountains. We enjoyed the hot springs and there is also great hiking and we visited the caves above the city. Rosi’s Bavarian breakfast and lunch place was a great place to get a good breakfast and we had an absolute fantastic dinner at Juicy Lucy’s!! Getting around was very easy. We did a lot of walking and only used the car when it seemed too far to walk. All around a great place to relax in the hot springs, to get a great workout going hiking with beautiful views and to eat some fantastic food at one of the numerous restaurants.
Everything was excellent, room comfortable and extremely clean, staff friendly, parking secure and close to the room, breakfast delicious, pool, jacuzzi and sauna clean, the hotel is in the middle to the Walmart, pool and city center.
The only little thing I noticed was the little windows in the bathroom with mold, if that's taken care of I would give you a 5 stairs service. Because with great service at front desk, the breakfast room and pool, that's all we as a guest needs it!
Historic, everything you need is close. Walking distance of the hot springs. Beautiful area! Restaurants very close and delicious! Had dinner at the Pullman the first night, and was so good we ate there all 3 nights. This was the perfect time to go. Not the over abundance of tourists.
Glenwood Springs is one of our favorite local getaways. Lately, hotels and hot springs have gotten a lot more expensive, but there is still affordable lodging to be found. The city has a great offering of varied outdoor activities (from skiing and hiking near Sunlight Mountain to biking along the rails to trails towards Aspen), unique hot springs/spas, great restaurants (Pullman and Ming are favorites), boutique and outdoor shopping opportunities, and retail necessities like groceries/Target. The core area is reasonably walkable and can be navigated without a car if you arrive by train. The classic Hot Springs can get crowded- avoid holiday weekends and arrive early if you want a more tranquil experience.
This hotel has probably one of the best locations in Glenwood Springs. I have stayed here twice and was assigned the same room both times. It is a king room, on the fourth floor. It’s quite comfortable very spacious and clean. It’s also very quiet with a really good view of the parking lot from the window.
Glenwood Springs
We booked the Lodge to go skiing a day in Sunlight and found it so nice to be able to Swim and sit in a hottub as well. It was wonderful and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Would like to visit again. And the Diner on walking distance was also great, our kids loved the Bunny pancakes.
Great location to walk to the hot springs, downtown, or to the amusement park cable cars. Rooms are refreshed and clean, the personnel are very nice, and a playground for kids. One of the places we like staying in Glenwood Springs.
Always love staying at the Hotel Colorado, there's so much history, character, and ambiance in this old building. King suite was spacious and comfortable. Short walk over the pedestrian bridge to get to the downtown restaurants.
Glenwood Springs
Lovely aesthetic and appearance from the outside, like a little cottage. The room had a big fridge which is helpful to store food and water whilst on a road trip. A short walk to the hot springs
This is a great hotel especially when transferring to another flight and staying overnight. Super easy - great rooms. We have stayed d=several times because it just works
Glenwood Springs
Nice freshly renovated room. Simple, efficient. Nice horizontal blinds. Only a few minutes’ drive from downtown Glenwood Springs where hotel prices are much higher.
Arrived to a very hot room; thermostat on 90°, would not adjust down. Called front desk & within 5 minutes we were changed to another room down the hall.
Glenwood Springs
The location was great for walking to most places in Glenwood Springs. Breakfast was offered in a sunny dining area separate from the hotel, which we liked.
Glenwood Springs
The staff is always very helpful and friendly and the location to the hotsprings and downtown Glenwood Springs is very good.
Glenwood Springs
Great location for the hot springs and friendly staff
Pool and hot tub. Location convenient.
