Hotel in Glenwood Springs
Featuring a restaurant, bar and lounge, the historic Hotel Colorado is located in Glenwood Springs. Rooms feature mountain views and free WiFi. Mattress needs to be flipped, rotated or replaced. The telephone is located on the nightstand and most people tend to sit on the mattress side closest to phone and because this happens on all room reservations this causes a depression in the mattress at this location and is very uncomfortable to sleep on. Move phone away from bed and this issue is resolved. Mattress is designed to be slept on and not continuously sat on in a common location. Go to room 430 and you will see what I'm describing.

Historic, everything you need is close. Walking distance of the hot springs. Beautiful area! Restaurants very close and delicious! Had dinner at the Pullman the first night, and was so good we ate there all 3 nights. This was the perfect time to go. Not the over abundance of tourists.
Glenwood Springs is one of our favorite local getaways. Lately, hotels and hot springs have gotten a lot more expensive, but there is still affordable lodging to be found. The city has a great offering of varied outdoor activities (from skiing and hiking near Sunlight Mountain to biking along the rails to trails towards Aspen), unique hot springs/spas, great restaurants (Pullman and Ming are favorites), boutique and outdoor shopping opportunities, and retail necessities like groceries/Target. The core area is reasonably walkable and can be navigated without a car if you arrive by train. The classic Hot Springs can get crowded- avoid holiday weekends and arrive early if you want a more tranquil experience.
Everyone was super nice and the location was great. The free breakfast included was very good with a nice variety of choices. Construction was going on at the hot springs which was ok because it needs to be done but the Jack hammering while trying to enjoy the hot springs was a bit distracting. Worse was the Jack hammering that started at 0630 in the morning on our last morning. Way too early in the morning for that. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I would probably go back in the future.
Glenwood Springs is a Perfect Mountain Town in Kick Back a just Enjoy the Shopping, Restaurants, Adventures and Scenery. I Highly Recommend a Nice Long Stay at this Town. You can not go wrong for Vacationing Here. Stay at the Blue Spruce Inn.
Fun but expensive Aspen affect. Hot Springs Pool always fun but under adjacent upgrade construction. Kind of expensive for a family, but you get the whole day to enjoy it. Tip- when you rent a towel for $4 you get a 2' x 3' sheet of sandpaper, always ask for a second towell. Maybe, maybe not😀 You do have to go with the flow- a lot of California attitude
We liked the Glenwood Springs Pools. The traffic was horrendous! Most restaurants were closed on Monday. The scenery was absolutely beautiful!! We ate at Chili’s! ( it was really good and good service!!!
We chose this based on it being an ascend property but for the money we paid it was disappointing. The hotel is pretty generic and no frill. Breakfast was extremely meh, the front desk seemed disinterested, and the overall experience was unremarkable. We stayed at another property the next day that was much more service oriented. None of the properties in glenwood are amazing short of the hotel Denver or the hotel Colorado so next time I’ll choose one where the price matches the level of service.
Staff was great, room was great, location was great. We simply had to walk across the street from the Amtrak train station, which was awesome considering the weather was cold and snowy. They also have a great restaurant/bar attached to the hotel which was very helpful for the over 2 hour train delay for return back to Denver. Additionally they sell tickets to the hot springs at a discounted rate, and provide towels for the hot springs.
Glenwood Springs
Excellent room, facility, breakfast with excellent access to the two large hot spring pools and other tourist interests nearby like Iron Mountain Hot Springs, Hanging Lake, and Doc Holliday's grave at Linwood Cemetary. Also next to the Hotel Colorado which has a wonderful dining room and dinners. Within walking distance of many local restaurants.
We didn’t eat the breakfast we ate out. We didn’t use the pool or jacuzzi we went to the hot springs. The iron mountain 10% off was really great and that the gondola is right next to the hotel Is great.
The price was acceptable for the location of this hotel. This was a last-minute trip to Glenwood Springs on the train from Denver, my normal hotel was sold out, So I’m glad they had a room for me.
The hotel is very close to the hot springs, which is the reason why we were visiting. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was fantastic. We will definitely stay again.
Historic hotel charm. Nice seating areas inside and out. Good bar/food service. Walking distance to hot springs.
Glenwood Springs
