Must see places for us were: Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center Great Springs State Park, Charley Russell museum, Malcomb Air Base museum, the History museum, Ryan Dam & Great falls. Get hold of VisitGreatFallsMontana.org for a ton of information. They will send you free of charge their booklet called Montana's Basecamp and a bunch of brochures-even help you plan out your itinerary. These are super people to deal with!! We regularly fly into Great Falls to see our daughter who lives a ways south of the city. We've never actually spent time there before and we quite enjoyed it! There are wonderful parks with great hiking and biking trails. The Charlie Russell Museum was excellent and there were several other museums we simply didn't have time for like the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center. Every store and restaurant we went to the staff were friendly and helpful. The meals in the restaurants were large portions and very good. We went to sip n dip saw the mermaid with our meal and had supper at Tracy’s a few blocks from hotel large portions there as well and food was good.
