All the hotels looked the same quality with people out wandering all night long and even in the daytime. Go to Royce City or Sulphur Springs to stay. The food establishments were poor quality and service also.
Wife and I drive a semi over the road and they had truck parking with a very reasonable room rate. Beds we’re comfortable and rested well. After leaving I realized I’d forgotten my wallet in one of the drawers. Called and the desk clerk went out of her way to find it and call me back. I was very thankful for her honesty and taking the time.
It was quiet and had the best bed! And pillows, too! It was clean however old and needs refurbishing. Had both refrigerator and microwave which I needed! It was the only hotel/motel that had tea bags out of all the other places I stayed this week. What I didn’t like was they forgot to hand back my driver’s license after checking in. I was too tired and did not realize it until I was checking in the airport! The front desk should have notified me and did not. When I called them when I got home, they said they had it. I asked them to mail it putting it in a folded paper in envelope. I called them back to tell them my niece would pick it up to FedEx overnight. She put envelope as is...and their envelope was so thin, you could tell it was my license! They goofed all the way around!
Greenville is very nice area they're is shopping and restaurants nearby my visit was at Christmas time I wish they would have been more Christmas lights lots of traffic that's what I didn't like overall is a good area to stay
I have lived here 7 years! We rented the hotel for a bday party. The city is great and has a lot to offer. Lots of places to eat close by (within walking distance). We chose Applebee’s for our group of 9 and they were great.
There was a very good bakery there (Collins street bakery) for breakfast. Wish we had gone there for dinner. A google maps app or gps is a necessity as a lot of the roads were one way. Made it hard to get around. People were very friendly and helpful.
The website for the hotel has that is serves breakfast, but it doesn't due to covid-19 which is fine. Just don't advertise it. I'm from out of town for work and breakfast included with the room is a plus. Same dam thing with the pool it's shut down as well and in 100° heat in summer working outside all day after work and a shower it would be nice to cool of in the pool but once i booked and payed online got to hotel and another disappointment
Greenville
I want to thank Royal Inn for making me feel welcomed during our first visit to Greenville. Its not upscale but its way above standard. For the price its rooms went far above and beyond expectations. As soon as we walked in felt so nice being out of the scotching hot sun into a cool room! The room was very spot clean and as well as the bathroom. Huge TV! Never seen a TV this size in a hotel room. Will tell my coworkers about this hotel
We spent two nights over a weekend and the hotel was fully booked. For the price the hotel was nice and in a good location. We left out very early and I left my wallet behind and was in Amarillo Tx before I realized it. Called the hotel and the desk clerk went and checked the room and found it. I was very grateful for this young ladies honesty but unfortunately didn’t get her name to include. Very thankful to say the least.
They had a good amount of food to choose from. The coffee SUCKS!! but that didn't surprise me, plus i'm a coffee lover and like good quality coffee, coffee is bad everywhere accept for more expensive venues, of course. But they had more food to appease ones appetite, compared to another hotels, that were a tad more expensive.
Love the pool. Breakfast is always fabulous. The staff is super friendly. The location is close to many conveniences. We always stay there when visiting family in Greenville and take side trips to Rockwall.
Super friendly staff, really accommodating but most notable, I cannot express my appreciation for their ability to deal with my mom's many opinions about the hotel.
Spacious, fairly quiet, long lasting hot water, staff reached out to make sure we could find hotel (before 11:38pm would have been nice though).
The hotel exceeded my expectations. It was clean and exceptionally quiet given the location which is directly on the highway
The hotel has nice decor. Easy check in and out. Coffee available all hours with flavored cream.
Nice clean cheap space
