The staff-everyone one of them-was beyond friendly and kind and helpful. They made a great impression. The hotel was understaffed and you would think they would have been grumpy and overwhelmed. The ladies at the front desk were great! The room was large but old torn and ripped furniture. Paint was on the coffee table. A coffee or muffin or bar was the only breakfast! If you represent Extended Stay America and all of the hotels are like this, I will never use you again!
We booked a handicap room and it was anything but that plus it’s location was really bad for noise and smells. The staff was very polite and professional and overall it was reasonably clean. Location was great for most anything you need. Just can not get past how crappy the room was for being”handicap accessible” it was a joke! Take a look at the photo and you will see what I mean.

We came for an event at the conference center the morning after arrival. We stayed only one night. We were very close to the event space, which was wonderful. We really basically spent one evening and one morning, and left before 8:00 am. We were close to everything else we did, such as dinner the day we arrived, and lunch after the event. I am familiar with the area and come there every summer. Will be back later this summer and may choose to stay there because it was a great place and close to places of interest to me.
Hampton, Virginia is my home so I know all of the favorite spots. I purchased breakfast from the Waffle House which was close by. Getting around Hampton is very easy as the directions are on highway signs.
Hampton
This facility is a rip off. I book a room for the night, only to get there and find out they have no electricity. The whole building was pitch black. When I canceled the reservation and asked for a refund all I'm getting is a run around. They have not refunded my money and have not answered any of the emails. I think a hotel with no electricity qualifies for a full refund. Why would anyone pay money to stay somewhere without power
The room I booked was given away even after I’d called to confirm we’d be arriving. I was given a different room too small for amount of people that had a mildew odor. The walls are paper thin-you can hear doors to rooms close all night. Bed is rock hard. Disappointing @ this Hampton Inn location-needs updating & mildew removal.
The morning staff at the front desk is always helpful very nice and professional the housekeeping staff was also very helpful they were professional and asked me if I needed anything and if needed anything let them know. Kudos to the staff at Hampton redroof Inn
It was ok, nothing to write home about but it was included in the room cost. There are restaurants right outside the hotel. I would have preferred a cheaper room rate without the food
Beautiful hotel. Our room was spacious and spotless. Breakfast in the morning was amazing. Hot eggs, bacon, and all the fixings to go along with it. Would definitely stay here again.
Grew up going to hotels such as these as a kid... nice to see them coming back. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms clean. Service exceptional!! Newly renovated!!
The best thing about this hotel, is the location, It is close to all the restaurants and shopping that Hampton has to offer.
The room, the bed and the view were excellent. I really enjoy the view of Hampton University.
Good size room. Clean kitchen facilities in our room. Easy check in/check out experience.
