FAQs about hotels in Houston

Space, Sports and Sheer Size

Ever since a problem was encountered on Apollo 13, Houston has been an international household name. The 4th largest US city, it is home to NASA’s Johnson Space Center where Mission Control is located. Of course, this is not its only claim to fame. This is Texas after all, where everything is big.

Houston’s Reliant Astrodome was the world’s first indoor sports stadium under a domed roof, and the Galleria is the largest mall in Texas. The city’s Livestock Show and Rodeo is the largest in the world, and the JP Morgan Chase Tower is the planet’s tallest 5-sided building. The list goes on.

Amid the skyscrapers of the thriving CBD is the Toyota Center, home of the city’s NBA and AHL teams. The theatre district is also in the downtown area, whereas the museum district is concentrated to the north-east of Hermann Park, home of a boating lake, nature reserve and miniature railway. Also here is Houston Zoo, and just west is Rice University, one of several in the city.

The bohemian Rice Village is popular with students, as are the city’s historic pubs and leafy parks. Houston also has no shortage of restaurants or accommodation options. Those on Booking.com include motels, apartments and hotels near George Bush Airport.

Houston has always been my choice in USA because of the weather and friendly people. The roads are wide and easy to navigate and generally I have more things to do in Houston especially buying vehicles

Roads in and out like trying to get on and off pit road, in a NASCAR race. Lanes end with little or no warning. If you are in wrong lane forget it. There are no lights so it is real dark and lane markers impossible to see. Be ready to drive at least 20mph over limit or be run over.

Houston, is so clean along with up coming business, affordable shopping with excellent service, food and sweet people. There was not a lot of homelessness and the Houston College is in a great spot with new living spaces in walking distance from the college campus. The art work Downtown is spectacular close to the University of Arts.

Houston is a great place to visit.

Houston is a great place to visit. I would strongly suggest reading about the history of the Bayou City's growth and development before visiting. This way, visitors can better appreciate the attractions and the traffic. :-)

    I'm not found of Houston.

I'm not found of Houston. We have to visit there twice a year for Drs. appts. at MD Anderson. The traffic on the freeways drive me crazy and scare me to death. I'm sure there are good places to eat, I just haven't found them.

The Houston Astros, stub hub, the parking was OUTRAGEOUS.They put this disabled Veteran in the VIP C parking lot which was a great distance from the park, and charges us $86.00, then we had to get a ride to the stadium $20.00 each way. Over $120.00 for parking. This is atrocious, hell there were parking areas half the disrance away, for $10.00 It is bad enough to place people with disabilities where you can screw them, but to do this to a Combat Veteran with disabilities is a show of your greed. Never again, stub hub and the Houston Astro Venue. All Military Veterans need to be aware of how you will be treated.
