Very clean and quiet room, comfortable bed with silky soft sheets and good pillows. Absolutely loved the spacious walk-in shower (good pressure, lots of hot water and a free-flowing drain). Desk with chair plus an easy chair—convenient for 2 people. Lots of light, good closet space. Reasonable price compared with other area lodging. Very helpful front desk staff.

I visited the Zoo, Union Station and The World War I museum they were all very interesting with helpful and friendly staff. The Negro League Museum is a must for any baseball fan. A ride on the Street Car is a great way to get the lay of the land and it's free. Kanas City is know for Barbeque and it's fantastic , I love Gates, but it has some much more. It is a city of great restaurants. of all ethnicities all offering that famous mid-western hospitality

Hotel on Main Street made it very easy to catch the FREE rail street car that travels from Union Station to the Central Market. Ran directly in front of the hotel. Several good restaurants nearby this old warehouse section of KC that is rapidly becoming a new living area for young professionals with lots of old warehouses being converted to new apartments. Still have pockets of homeless in some areas but you see lots of people on the streets walking and biking during the daytime and evening hours.Carpenter - 4.0

They did shuttle us from the airport after I was told they wouldn’t after 11pm Room was big👍 Was ok Had construction around 1:30am and we got in at 12:30am that was rude and unprofessional Added$50 to our credit card for possible destruction of property and was to remove when checking out. No one was at counter when checking out and then we had another $50 to our credit card-had to call our credit card company to remove them also was to have FREE shuttle and at desk stated you Pay $5.00 - 6.0

It is just out dated and has a musty smell, there was also a strong smell of marijuana. I would not stay there again due to the price , it was not worth it, unless you want the location. We ate at Jack Stack Freight house, the food was OK, we didnt have a long wait, it was a bit overpriced, Eighty dollars for 2 people to eat and a alcoholic beverage. We walked there since it was only a few blocks from the hotel.

Overall attitudes of shoppers I talked to are positive about KC and its leadership. For a moderate conservative living in a radical right region of the country this was refreshing and gives me a glimmer of hope!! - 10

The location of this property was great! Right at the top of country club plaza and within a short walk to the Kansas City Art Institute where I was dropping off my daughter for the summer. My first night in Kansas City I had a very bad experience at another hotel in town so it was a welcome relief to find this property on Booking.com and come to a beautiful historic builing, with comfy beds and and close to restaurants. (*pic is the milk closets that are a historical part of the property)

I appreciated my stay at the Sonesta Select (my first time there). The staff members were polite, helpful, and professional. The hotel and my room were so comfortable! There was one housekeeping misstep, but I brought it to the attention of the desk manager and I am confident that he will pass that on to the housekeeping manager. I would stay at this property again anytime I needed a hotel near the Kansas City airport.

The room had a fully stocked kitchen (pots, pans, cooking burner, ceramic plates, etc!!!) and extremely comfortable bed, good furniture, and a really nice breakfast that even had vegan options (fruit, oatmeal, plant milk for oats and coffee, etc...). I was very happy. What a great value for the money!
