Key West is a gem of an island in the Florida Keys, popular with pleasure seekers and history buffs alike. As the most southern destination in the continental United States, Key West has a fascinating history, dating back to its settlement by Spanish explorers in the 16th century.
Today, this little island off the coast of Florida attracts over a million cruise visitors a year through the Port of Key West. Visitors come to see Hemingway House, where Ernest Hemingway penned "A Farewell to Arms." Key West Cemetery provides a unique walk through the multicultural past of the city. There are also trolley rides through the historic district of Jackson Square.
There’s more than just history to Key West, however. Smathers Beach is a place to have fun in the sun, while Mallory Square provides the chance to shop and watch a magnificent sunset. The excellent bus system helps you get around the island without a car.
Key West International Airport is a mere 4 miles from Duval Street, the heart of downtown and a good place to stay for easily exploring the nearby sights. With accommodations ranging from resorts to B&Bs, Booking.com helps you get the best stay for the best price in Key West!

We enjoyed the shopping, visiting a few historical homes, and the festive gala of Fantasy Fest during our three days in Key West. You can enjoy great food at any price all along the streets of Key West, dash in and out of various stores and bars. The town is very walkable, but you can also take the hop on, hop off trolly to travel and tour the town. The trolly is a bit pricy so another option is an uber or taxi. While in Key West we saw a great show so if you have a chance to see a show check one out. We enjoyed the show at the La Te Da and also ate dinner there, great restaurant and show!!!! If you enjoy historical homes you might check them out. A bit pricy in my opinion for what you see, but to each their own.

Key West is very touristy but not in a bad way. Lots to do.
Key West is very touristy but not in a bad way. Lots to do. Most bars and some restaurants have music all day long. Good waterfront restaurants at north end but some fabulous places on Duval south of Truman (Banana Cafe, etc.) and even off Duval (Blue Heaven has some of the best Eggs Benedict I’ve ever had). Parasailing, snorkeling, ghost tours, several museums - there’s something for everyone. But it’s pretty built up and fancy, not much old world florida left, except for the museums.

I can only advice to visit Key West, it has everything you need, nice beaches to relax, enternaining areas such as Duval Street, with nice restaurants and night life if that's what you're looking for, and Mallory Square. There are also different places to visit such as Hemingway House, Little white house.
We really enjoyed taking the seaplane to Dry Tortugas National Park.

The people were extremely friendly and helpful. We were there for 5 nights and never came anyone who appears to be put out by helping us. It is so unusual to find such happy and helpful people so willing to help. What a refreshing attitude.

Most importantly, the hotel is clean. It is in a good location to go to Key West attractions. It also has a nice outdoor bar/liquor store and an ice cream/donut stand. The staff were nice. I didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, but the continental breakfast did look good. The muffins appeared to be homemade.
We only slept here one night. Quite an expensive hotel, but that's Key West. Close to many restaurants, about half an hour's walk to the center. Possibility to rent bicycles (for a fee).
Ideal location in Key West. In proximity to all attractions. The pool and the bar were excellent. Hotel and pool staff was kind and very helpful. We hope to come back.
