FAQs about hotels in Key West

Plenty of Limes and Good Times

Key West is a gem of an island in the Florida Keys, popular with pleasure seekers and history buffs alike. As the most southern destination in the continental United States, Key West has a fascinating history, dating back to its settlement by Spanish explorers in the 16th century.

Today, this little island off the coast of Florida attracts over a million cruise visitors a year through the Port of Key West. Visitors come to see Hemingway House, where Ernest Hemingway penned "A Farewell to Arms." Key West Cemetery provides a unique walk through the multicultural past of the city. There are also trolley rides through the historic district of Jackson Square.

There’s more than just history to Key West, however. Smathers Beach is a place to have fun in the sun, while Mallory Square provides the chance to shop and watch a magnificent sunset. The excellent bus system helps you get around the island without a car.

Key West International Airport is a mere 4 miles from Duval Street, the heart of downtown and a good place to stay for easily exploring the nearby sights. With accommodations ranging from resorts to B&Bs, Booking.com helps you get the best stay for the best price in Key West!

What Guests Said About Key West:

    Absolutely love Key West.

Absolutely love Key West. My favourite place to vacation and I go at least once a year. Accommodation is expensive if you book last minute but if you book months in advance, you can get a pretty good rate for a centrally located hotel. Super easy to get around Key West, no need for a car. Plenty of places to rent bikes and this is a great way to see the island. Plenty of restaurants and bars, especially on Duval Street. Most bars have live music. Watching the sunset at Mallory Square is a must - so beautiful and great entertainment from street performers every night. I would recommend 3-5 days in Key West.

I live in Florida and have been to Key West many times, just not during the season like this time. I have never seen so many cars and people there before. Overcrowded, very hard to find seating in restaurants and sooo incredibly overpriced. Parking can be from $10 an hour to $15 an hour! Insane! I will never visit Key West in the winter months again.

I love the vibe of Key West.

I love the vibe of Key West. There's something for everybody. Fantastic food, as much drinking and partying as anybody could possibly hope for, amazing music, decent - albeit small - beaches and all decently walkable. If you love history, Key West will be a great destination as well. They do a fantastic job of promoting their history - tours, books, landmarks, etc....all are easy to find and dig into.

We loved the tropical nature of the town, the beautiful houses and the great food. We didn't make it out on the water, but there are lots of wonderful options for diving, fishing etc. We enjoyed the sunsets at Mallory Square and walked everywhere.

Loved the happy hour top quality appetizers and martinis at Martin's for half price. Also at Old Town Mexican Cafe and Viva Argentinian Saloon. Walked everywhere and took the free Duval Loop bus once. Most folks use bikes or golf carts to get around. Enjoyed Truman's Key West digs and also the Tennessee Williams museum. Had visited Ernest Hemingway home several years ago. Also had some good brunch dishes at La Grignote and at Sarabeth's.

The breakfast is OK, good coffeee and choices of foods. The eggs and sausage were terrible, really not worth putting out if that is the quality and effort that going to be used . Eggs were like soup, the “ham “ looked like something found on a Little Ceasers Pizza or cheaper . For the money this hotel (and others) gouge! people for a place to sleep put a little more effort into the “hot” breakfast portion or just leave it out. The location is good, the people were helpful and the shuttle to Duval is good.

Room was very spacious and well-equipped. Microwave, mini fridge, desk, large closet and large bathroom. Resort fee included was well worth it for the shuttle downtown which left every hour from the hotel. Much cheaper than getting uber. We didn't redeem our drink tickets due to not having time but should have to get the full value. Free breakfast was nothing spectacular but better than average continental breakfast because it included some hot food. Overall a nicer hotel and better presentation than I expected.

Cute and lovingly designed hotel in the heart of Key West. Patrick welcomed us with a glass of wine and showed us this gem. Our room had tropical charm. Everything felt very authentic. Nevertheless, there was no lack of comfort. We slept like logs. There was a Nespresso machine in the room instead of those terrible cheap American coffee machines - a little culture can be so easy! :) At breakfast you had to be careful of a free-range chicken. It was a bit cheeky. We‘d love to come back!

This hotel was awesome, with friendly helpful staff to an amazing pool and hot tub. The ambience was fun with the food truck eating area and poolside bar, and the food was excellent. The hotel shuttle runs to and from the hotel and downtown key west every half hour, so you never have to worry about parking. The hotel is a bit expensive, but so is every hotel in this area. We definitely enjoyed our stay here.

Loved this oasis in Key West. Great location enough away from Duval to be secluded but still walkable to everything. 2 blocks from Marina, 5 min to Duval or Mallory Square. Loved the bonus touch of a $5 coupon to a delicious bakery 2 blocks away. Favorite part of the hotel complex is the interior garden with lots of seating. Perfect for relaxing.

The Perry Hotel and Marina is outside the "Key West Party Mile" and offers all amenities. The view from the room over the pool and marina creates a fantastic vacation atmosphere. Our room had wooden floors, a spacious bathroom and a small kitchen. Staff is very nice and helpful, and once an hour you can take the bus to the old city.

We just stayed a single night, but we enjoyed it! Nice and clean rooms, parking for the night, heated hottub and a big enough swimming pool. Walking distance to either side of the key. Been to key West before and seen other hotels/acommendations, but the next time I'll visit i am definitely booking a room at the Paradise Inn again!

Very quaint. Especially for a hotel built almost 70 years ago. Very nice pool. Connected to the Stone Crab Restaurant which was awesome. Best seafood in town for the price. Stone crab, crab legs and monster pink shrimp was the best seafood meal we’ve Ever had. Everything else you are there for the key west experience.

All of Key West accommodation is very expensive, this was at the lower end of the scale, you were paying for the location not the quality, this was a guest house/bed and breakfast, if you had opted for a hotel, it would have been an additional $300 minimum

The stay could not have been more perfect. The view out of our room (201) was the best view in key west. In a town like key west a 24 hour pool may be the smartest plan ever. The history of the hotel was fascinating. We will definitely stay here again.
