The property is perfectly located at 20-30 minute walking distance from downtown Key West ( Duval and Truman ), there’s plenty of parking space, modern architecture with spacious rooms, all with balconies facing the ocean, the swimming pool with Jacuzzi is spacious and located in the backyard in an open space facing a small beach and the ocean ( Not enclosed by the building as you find in most of other Opal resorts ) . There is a pool bar on the side with very friendly bartenders to prepare your favorite drinks. All the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Everything. The place, the green palms inside the yard, the staff, the rooms - everything was perfect - good looking, neat, comfortable. The house itself felt unique and authentic, but not too old or anything.

Today, this little island off the coast of Florida attracts over a million cruise visitors a year through the Port of Key West. Key West is beautiful, BUT at my age, drinking every single day and partying gets old. I was expecting better bands and entertaining. So make sure you have a nice group of friends with you. It can be romantic, but only for 3 days MAX.

Been visiting Key West for over 50 years boating, diving, and also at time just for leisure! There is SOO much history here and SOO much to see and do. Henry Flagler, Ernest Hemmingway, and Mel Fisher along with an uncountable number of other men made it possible for the rest of us to enjoy this deep-rooted treasure in Florida that's chalk full of wonder! Seeing the sunset at Mallory Square every single night is something I never miss!! Doing the Duvall Crawl is another exciting thing to do!

We really enjoyed our June trip to Key West.

We really enjoyed our June trip to Key West. It was hot and humid, but Winslow's Bungalows has three pools. We were able to cool off as needed. Everything is walking distance as the island is only 4 miles long. We rented a golf cart for two days when we went to Fort Zachary Beach. This way, we did not have to carry all our beach stuff. This is the best beach on the island. There is plenty to do. Our favorites were visiting the Ernest Hemingway House and Truman's White House. We really enjoyed swimming on the sandbars- we recommend it. The sunset cruise was like baking on a hot pavement that never ends- if you like loud drunk people and dying slowly in the sun- this is for you. ( We were there in June- this would be more tolerable in winter months).

We loved the walkability of Key West.

We loved the walkability of Key West. We were on foot the entire time, as our hotel, Opal Key, was centrally located. There is so much history on KW as well. We enjoyed touring Hemmingway's home and learning all about him -- and loved all the cats on the property, particularly the ones with the extra claw! The Little White House Tour was so informative as well. Lots of historical markers on many properties as you walk around. And lots and lots of restaurant and entertainment options. We stayed along the marina with a spectacular view from our room. There are some great places to eat waterside, too.

There are several pools and a hot tub, all of them are great. There is also a bar with quite cheap drinks that you can get at any time during the day. Breakfast is good and the room (6-bed room) pretty big with comfortable bunk beads, as well as a fridge. You can also book different activities (e.g. snorkel tour) directly at the hostel. Definitely, one of the best value for money options in Key West.

The hotel is in an excellent location right in the center, but still on the quiet side. The courtyard pool is small but nice. Parking was included in the room, but it is located three blocks away (better than nothing, Key West parking spaces are hard to come by). The room was clean and spacious enough.
