Overall we wouldn't hesitate to come back!
Not a lot to do “ in” town... spent time in Red Wing and Wabasha mostly. Everything seemed to close early, Pharmacy and Hallmark store very dark, not well lit, not very friendly, except for the young man clerk at the Hallmark register. Loved the little shop “Buttons & something (?)”...found the information on making buttons and how they caught the shells (hooks) super interesting... to bad it’s “tucked way back in a corner of the shop. More history with real stories about the area or people would have kept us in Lake City... we ate at a restaurant across from AmericInn. Great food, service, friendly, helpful. Lake City didn’t seem to have much about itself or it’s beautiful homes and architecture of the area. We had other people ( tourists) asking Us what we had seen and where to eat and what was there to do in town? Not much self-promotion of Lake City and it’s History or past or building or home history🙁
