My sister and I stayed at D Sands for 4 nights. It was way too short. Our room was on the bottom floor with just a few stairs down to the beach. We had a beautiful view of the beach and ocean from our room. The room size was great for the 2 of us . The room was clean and the kitchenette and bathroom had everything you need.
Definitely worth the money. I can't wait to go back.

Lincoln City is both a tourist destination and a working-class town, so it offers a wide range of things to do as well as support for other needs. It's a good place to base a visit to the central coast because there are a lot of interesting coastal features nearby both to the north and south.

It’s a good location on the Oregon Coast with the ocean closer to the hotels than further North in Oregon. Nice sandy beaches, lots of restaurant variety, and shopping. Every time we have stayed here we see whales and seals in the ocean. Depot Bay is just South of Lincoln City for tourist shops and Sea Hag restaurant for clam chowder.

We decided that the beach and the house stay would be our main focus and we only ate out twice, one lunch and one dinner. Both were excellent. We ordered groceries for pick up at the local Safeway and it made it so much easier to just swing by and grab what we ordered. Easy and so convenient. We are from a landlocked state and we wanted to capitalize on the beach and this place had excellent views, great beaches and enough "town" if we wanted to shop. It was close to Portland so we didn't have to spend so much time in the car to get there and the dollar value was much better than some other areas. We came for the beach and it was excellent!

We of course had to go to the outlet stores.
We of course had to go to the outlet stores. We ate dinner at Kyllo's and the food was great. We also had breakfast at The Wild Flower. Their portions are big so come hungry. Had the biggest egg's benedict I have ever seen. Also enjoyed the glass blowing shop at the south end of town. You need to use the traffic lights when turning around. The main strip gets pretty busy. We are already making plans to visit soon.

The shopping was my favorite and Ripley's believe it or not.
The shopping was my favorite and Ripley's believe it or not. We did not make reservations and had a hard time finding a restaurant who could take us without one. The food was good. Whale watching talk was fascinating. The weather was very foggy so couldn't see whales.
You can hear the ocean from the hotel room .
You can possibly see whales from your balcony .
We did .
So nice to sit in the jacuzzi tub next to the window and see and hear the ocean .
Two thumbs up ..
Also I think the price was reasonable for what you get .
The ocean was enough .
We were there for three days and never turned the tv on once ..
