Beautiful area. We had never been. We were just returning from a cruise. It is close to several beaches, the Queen Mary and LA. We went to LA while there. We just had the best time and it was so relaxing. I would definitely go back. We got to go to Rosco's Chicken & Waffles. The food was amazing. We had never been to it before. We took an amazing tour to the Hollywood sign and to Beverly Hills thru VIP Hollywood Tours. It was amazing. Great pictures and tour guide(Justin). Saw so many celebrity home up close and personal.

Long Beach is a destination that offers plenty of walking sights and sounds. If you're looking for a quirky place to stay, consider the Queen Mary. Dining on this historic ship provides a unique evening experience. Bask in a different time when life was simpler and people took pride in their appearance. The boardwalks and shopping streets make for a great alternative to lounging by the swimming pool. Although I had only passed through Los Angeles before, this time I decided to take some time to stop and soak in the surrounding area.

Never had a chance to really fully experience Long Beach as we went there only for one reason and that was the Queen Mary. We didn't check in until late in the afternoon. Dinner time. And checked out early in the morning

Long Beach is a hidden gem! The food was incredible. We went to Lola's Mexican Cuisine, and it was fantastic! We went to Saint & Second and it did not disappoint! It was phenomenal. We also visited King's Fish house and the Breakfast bar. We went to the Coin show at the convention center and we enjoyed Astra Lumina at South Coast Botanical Gardens. Overall, an absolutely amazing time!

The ship's history. My grandfather was one of the 16,000 ppl who took the Queen Mary home. Margaritas on the Mary were delish and fun. The free passport shuttle to downtown and water taxi back $5.00. The clam chowder in the Chowder House was top-notch! If you want this 5-star hotel with modern furnishings, this isn't for you. This is an authentic upscale stay as if you were back in the 30s.
