Hotel in Manitou Springs
Less than one mile from Pikes Peak, the Magnuson Grand Pikes Peak features views of the mountains and surrounding area. I stayed 1 night and it was a a great stay. The staff was very welcoming. The hotel public areas seem new and are very clean and smell nice. The room was kind of dated but perfectly clean so that’s not a problem! Continental breakfast as good and they keep coffee and water in the lobby for guests at any time which was a nice touch. I recommend this place as it is clean, decently priced and has everything that a more expensive hotel would have.

We went downtown and ate at great restaurants, enjoyed shopping and the penny arcade. The close proximity of Colorado Springs allowed us to also visit the Olympic Museum, the Cheyenne Zoo, and the Pioneer Museum (which is free!). All great spots to visit! The Penny Arcade, the Ghost Town Museum, and the local breweries were great spots to visit in Manitou. There is a ton more to do there, but a lot of our favorites do not open until May. Suggestions: Cave of the Winds, North Pole Amusement, Pike's Peak, Cog Railroad, Cliff Dwellings, and the Incline.
The town is so adorable! The little shops and surrounding area reminded me of something from a movie. The Red Dog coffee shop is a must. Pikes peak Cogway is another must! I thought a week would be long enough to see everything but it definitely was not.
Manitou Springs is great. Very good people, helpful and friendly. Great for outdoor activities and for those who love history it has some interesting historical sites and activities. We have visited before and found the shops and sites very enjoyable.
Great location. Walking distance to downtown Manitou Springs and other sights. Clean. Large rooms. Breakfast was very simple but this is clearly communicated. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were cleaned every 3 days. We stayed 7 nights and they missed the 2nd cleaning. They gave us clean towels and coffee packets upon request. Price was reasonable given the area.
Make sure you get the fudge(there are a couple of shops downtown) There is also an arcade. Not to many places have public restrooms. The restaurant’s do. The view of the mountains will take your breath away. There were dogs everywhere and I do like dogs but when they are allowed in restaurants and are sitting on tables where people have to eat is pretty disgusting. I do love the shops and atmosphere. Also it’s best to take the free shuttle to downtown as parking isn’t easy to find. There were a variety of restaurants with interesting items on the menu and plenty of ice cream stands.
Love Manitou Springs but too hot in July. Would love to go again in Sept or October. Shops and clerks were all great and helpful. Parking can be a problem during busy season. Most shops don't open til 10AM for me traveling with a young woman with mental and physical challenges, this was a problem.
Location was convenient to Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs quaint downtown area, near the cliff dwellings and the Old Colorado City area as well as Seven Falls and the Red Rock hiking areas. The hotel was new, clean, comfortable beds, extremely helpful and friendly staff (outstanding service) and a great value. Very nice breakfast and area it is served in. We didn’t use the pool, but the area looked great. Definitely would stay here again.

When I pulled up to the beautifully updated retro motel, the staff met us outside and with me having 3 children this was an outstanding touch! Thank you for the warm and hospitable welcoming. The motel is less then a block from the complementary bus that will take you to downtown Manitou Springs! Perfect!!
There's not a single thing I could say was wrong or bad with my stay at Magnuson Manitou Springs. The beds and room in general were very comfortable. I would give this a 10 but know one is perfect but the staff here are pretty damn close.
Manitou Springs
Staff was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. There was a pool, though we didn't use it. The air conditioning worked very well. It was only 1.2 miles to downtown Manitou Springs, which made a nice walk.

Great price, good facilities and location (close to Garden of the Gods). Parking is at a premium in Manitou Springs so it was nice to have it included at the motel.
