Adjacent to fantastic Arches & Canyonlands National Parks, town offers lots of good shopping & dining, although accommodations are mostly pricey. Early reservations important. Bike & walkway through town is pleasantly green; lots of red-rock off road opportunities. Town can be congested with people & cars because of great popularity of scenic area.
Moab a great place to visit. So much to do! Don’t miss the free movie museum at lodge a great scenic view to get there but hides two great lodges and a winery! Wonderful change from all rock scenery! Canyonlands by night and day is a not to miss trip! Worth every cent!
Moab is my second home. Never get tired of this amazing place. Been coming here for over 15 years. However, watching all the increased traffic, noise, construction, people, vehicles - it is definitely being loved right to death. Such a delicate environment can’t support all these thoughtless tourists and vehicles tearing up the landscape. Stay away from weeks that have events - the prices get jacked up, there’s way too many people and you will not get the quiet or solitude you might be after.
Moab is centrally located to the National Parks. Lots of stores and restaurants to wander to. Did the Canyon Lands by Night tour. Loved the buffet and the boat ride and program down the Colorado River at night was worth the money and experience.
Moab is a great late fall or early spring adventure. While you're hiking in Arches and Canyonlands (less so during the high heatr of July and August in our opinion), enjoy the local restaurants and don't forget to at least go for dinner at Red Cliffs Inn, located directly on the banks of the Colorado River in a place where many movies were made, or consider staying there if trail riding, zip line excursions and rafting are in your range of preferences. Many lodging facilities in Moab are somewhat dated, though there are several newer facilities and others under construction to surely come online soon. We enjoyed in particular Sing Ha Thai Cuisine restaurant located at 92 E Center St. though we were not so pleased with the telephone interactions of another, located at 98 E Center, as the person was abrupt and unaccommodating. (True, they were obviously busy at the time we called (a little later than we might have had we been able - we were hiking in Arches - however common courtesy goes a long way when options are limited.... THAT was NOT operative when we called..... however that enabled our continued search and we found Sing Ha Thai to be a gem - we cannot guarantee you a similar experience, however they may be consistent in the warmth of their welcome....)
So much to see and do there, but we only had two days. We could spend a week there, and still not do everything. Love Moab! Great restaurants, including Zax, and Eddie Mcstiffs. And the proximity to Arches, and Canyonlands, is perfect!
The best stay in Moab for our group of 5! A perfectly located, spacious, beautiful and clean house. 3 bedrooms, plus a couch bed in the living room which comes very handy for a group of friends. Two bathrooms, one of them attached to the master bedroom. In the kitchen you find everything you need and more! Private parking. The house lies within a walking distance to the center of town (10 minutes) and just several minutes by car to the entrance of the Arches NP. Highly recommend!

Pet friendly. Staff is friendly. Close to many restaurants, shops, a very nice off leash dog park and an on-site restaurant 'Moab Grill' (closed Tuesdays). The room was nice with 2 queen beds. Everything is made out of pine and gives a quaint and cozy lodge feeling. There is a coffee machine, a refrigerator and a flat screen smart TV.

Nice check in, they were prepared already. They explained everything nicely. Hot-tub / spa is nice. it is adult only use between 9-10 pm so kids were not disturbing us, they made sure that this rule is kept. Nice and comfortable beds. The campground is clear and you can see that they spend a lot of effort to maintain it and keep it clean and tidy.
