We were not aware that Moab is a resort town.

We were not aware that Moab is a resort town. We were looking for a decent Holiday Inn Express Hotel that was within reach of our road trip back home to Southern California from Indiana. We were extra surprised to discover that this was a resort town. The only thing is the Holiday Inn Express Moab Hotel room cost reflected a resort town inflated cost compared to other Holiday Inn Express Hotels we have stayed at of equal accommodation quality. Other than the room cost, this was a surprising, pleasant hotel experience and could factor into a future vacation destination for us. We only had a one-night stay because this was factored in as a rest stop during our road trip home to Southern California, so we did not do any exploring of the town, with the exception of going out to eat a fantastic dinner 98 East Center Street Restaurant. I had the best-tasting Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich of my life there.

Great area close to all of the parks, it was a convenient location for us. We ate dinner at Fiesta Mexicana right down the street from the hotel, the food was very good and large Margheritas. The restaurant had large portions, good service and reasonably priced.

We arrived on the Rocky Mountaineer from Denver, which was fabulous. There is so much to do in the area. We took a one hour sunset flight over Moab, visited the Arches national Park, and did a half day float on the Colorado river. This small valley city is surrounded by red rock mountains. There are plenty of restaurants and sports activities to enjoy. We really enjoyed the restaurant, Pasta J.

Arches national Park and Canyonlands park.

Arches national Park and Canyonlands park. The arches can be done by yourself with no guide. The visitor center helps. Canyonland should be done with a local tourist guide with a jeep. They drive on unpaved roads inside the canyon which was great

Moab is a vibrant little community.

Moab is a vibrant little community. We enjoyed the local bookstore, with its roots in Edward Abbey's connection to the town. Some excellent restaurants, including high end dining at Desert Bistro. Also discovered the beer cheese soup at Deweys.

A great location to explore Canyonlands and Arches National Park. Lots of choices for eating/drinking without having to get in the car again. Choice of companies who organise trips…rafting on the Colorado River/4x4 trips to Canyonlands etc Moab Coffee Roasters was a lovely cafe. Also ate at Singha Thai which was delicious and Dewey, great for burgers.

It was the best hotel on our 3 weeks roundtrip. The family suite had much space, 3 beds in 2 rooms with a lot of light from the windows. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Special thank you to Richard who checked us in and explained us the best dining spots and of course to Martine who was always there to answer questions. I'll defintly recommend this hotel to everyone who is visiting Moab/Arches.

Great location close to town with amazing moonrise vistas. Our cabin facilities were way better than we expected, comfy bed and all of the modern conveniences you would get from a much more expensive place. The wonderful knowledge and guidance on what to do from Sean was invaluable for us as we had limited time in Moab. Really close to The Devils Revenge which was a plus also.

The location is good, in downtown Moab where you can walk around to different restaurants, shops, etc., but the hotel is on a quiet side street. The room is nothing special, but we had everything we needed. It is also close to Arches National Park (remember you need to get a timed entry ticket beforehand using the park's website). Good value for money.

It is a perfect location for visiting the Arches National Park, compared with other hotels in Moab, close distance, and minor traffic. Own kitchen allows for an early start, which is essential in summer. So with good planning, you may pay an extra visit to the park even on checkout day.
