United StatesThis is a beautifully and thoughtfully curated property with incredible casitas to stay in as a group of friends or a family. There are two hot tubs, a heated pool, an on site restaurant, and a bar that will bring you drinks to the hot tub if you ask nicely. You can park your car, there are fireplaces in the main room and the sitting room, and three bathrooms in the two bedroom casita. The staff are friendly and lovely. We came at the end of the season so we only had breakfast at the restaurant and it was really yummy. Its right near the main street of town and close to hiking trails and the national parks. Really this is the only luxurious resort in town, and worth every cent.

Plus not many people. Lots of businesses still open to rent or go touring on your own. Unlimited hiking too. Plus you have Arches only 5 miles away and you don’t need a reservation in the winter! I ate at Moab Diner for breakfasts and dinners. Right next door. Across the street is a delicious Mexican restaurant Fiesta Mexicana.

If you love to be outside and explore stunning high desert scenery, this is the place to visit. Moab is adorable with tons of shops and restaurants-AND excursions galore. The surrounding area and national and state parks!!! Petroglyphs, pictographs, and dinosaur tracks!!! I needed more time and will be back!!!

We were not aware that Moab is a resort town.
We were not aware that Moab is a resort town. We were looking for a decent Holiday Inn Express Hotel that was within reach of our road trip back home to Southern California from Indiana. We were extra surprised to discover that this was a resort town. The only thing is the Holiday Inn Express Moab Hotel room cost reflected a resort town inflated cost compared to other Holiday Inn Express Hotels we have stayed at of equal accommodation quality. Other than the room cost, this was a surprising, pleasant hotel experience and could factor into a future vacation destination for us. We only had a one-night stay because this was factored in as a rest stop during our road trip home to Southern California, so we did not do any exploring of the town, with the exception of going out to eat a fantastic dinner 98 East Center Street Restaurant. I had the best-tasting Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich of my life there.

Great area close to all of the parks, it was a convenient location for us. We ate dinner at Fiesta Mexicana right down the street from the hotel, the food was very good and large Margheritas. The restaurant had large portions, good service and reasonably priced.

We arrived on the Rocky Mountaineer from Denver, which was fabulous.
There is so much to do in the area. We took a one hour sunset flight over Moab, visited the Arches national Park, and did a half day float on the Colorado river.
This small valley city is surrounded by red rock mountains. There are plenty of restaurants and sports activities to enjoy. We really enjoyed the restaurant, Pasta J.

The arches can be done by yourself with no guide. The visitor center helps.
Canyonland should be done with a local tourist guide with a jeep. They drive on unpaved roads inside the canyon which was great

Having had our booking cancelled last minute in another Moab hotel, we hastlily booked The Virginian Inn via our phone app, which was a great choice. The guy on reception was very friendly and helpful and the inn was comfortable and clean.
The wifi was fast and the shower had reasonable pressure. There was a fridge and microwave in the room too and lots of space and the beds were comfortable. Ample parking.
Would stay again.

Nice room, and pretty quiet. The room was clean. There is a lot of parking in the area. The breakfast staff is very nice and helpful. The hotel is very easy to find, and it is a perfect spot for the National Parks. Slighly out of the crowded downtown Moab area.
