Bueatiful city. Everyone so friendly and helpful. Cant wait to come back to see the spring/summer colors. Drive up the road to morse farm and enjoy free samples of maple syrup and get a small tour and video of how they get maple from the trees. Downstairs there is skii rental and snow shoe rental, and you get to go around their very own trail.
It is a small quaint town with its own history and character. Nice selection of shops, restaurants, and friendly residents. There are many attractions within a few hours of driving distance. We will visit again.
Restaurants were excellent, Sarducci's for fresh Italian food and J Morgan's for a traditional menu; they were very reasonably priced when compared to bigger cities. Montpelier has a very down home country feel with quaint shops and a great bookstore. There's a small community theater in the city hall, the Lost Nation theater, open spring through fall. It was great fun!
Charming town nestled in the mountains. It is very scenic. The restaurants are outstanding. NECI on Main and La Brioche are operated by the New England Culinary Institute. There are interesting shops.
“This is a really nice location away from the downtown but real close as well. Montpelier is a small town to begin with but the owner was wonderful and made us feel right at home.”
