The Painted Rocks was well worth the trip.
The Painted Rocks was well worth the trip. Visiting other points of interest is well worth your time. A lot of beautiful . breathtaking waterfalls in the area. Except for the one that wanted to charge $12 per person. A natural wonder taken over by greed. OK, we have a gift shop and employees. No Ticky, no washy. KMA!
Except, Early E Byrd restaurant. Take a sausage and cut it in half and then declare it "two pieces". And not even apologize!! And charge me for two pieces! Shame on You!!!

Munising is a lovely little town located alongside beautiful...
Munising is a lovely little town located alongside beautiful Lake Superior and the famed Pictured Rocks. Our main purpose was to kayak and view the rocks from the lake. We also enjoyed dining at two great restaurants, Pictured Rocks Pizza and ByGeorge Brewing Co. across from one another and Eh! Burgers on the main drag. All were delicious with wonderful, friendly staff! Our stay was beautiful and so much fun!

I took the shipwreck cruise and the Pictured Rocks cruise...
I took the shipwreck cruise and the Pictured Rocks cruise the same day. The shipwreck cruise got me so excited to see more Pictured Rocks that I booked my ticket on the ride back to the dock! The town is small and easy to navigate. Everyone I encountered from gas station attendants to restaurant staff and gift shop employees was friendly. I got a veggie pasty from Muldoon's. They do takeout and I think you can buy them frozen to take home. They were sold out of the chicken pasties, so they must be good!

Loved that there is a lot to do that doesnt cost a lot.
Loved that there is a lot to do that doesnt cost a lot. We got to see many water falls and beaches that cost nothing. There are lots of trails to hike. I love love love! How dog friendly the area is. Eh! Burgers in munising is very tasty! We wished places stayed open later. Not a lot of late night choices.

We did 2 cruises, the sunken ship cruise was pretty cool if...
We did 2 cruises, the sunken ship cruise was pretty cool if you like stuff like that. We enjoyed it very much. It was very interesting. Kids that were in the boat seemed a bit bored, but it may not have been the best fit for their interests to begin with and then to add a 2 hour cruise that is slow probably just made it worse for them. We loved it. We also did the Pictured Rocks tour and that was beautiful. We chose to stay where you could stand up on the boat and we really loved it. Beautiful views! Our stay could have been a bit longer. I would have loved to do some more rock hounding or sight seeing, b ut it was a great trip!

the picture rocks tour was nice. the weather wasn't very nice, but that cannot be predicted. Dogpatch restaurant was very good with a great staff. ate there for breakfast and supper. several waterfalls nearby were nice to view as was Sandpoint beach.

The property is a bit older but perfectly maintained. And so very clean. I've stayed in very nice resort type places, chain hotels and none of them compare to the cleanliness of this property. And the staff were so helpful and always kind and pleasant.

Scotty's is a quaint little motel. It is located within walking distance of all the restaurants and breweries that Munising has to offer. Our room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. We would stay again.
