The Pictured Rocks tour was fabulous.

The Pictured Rocks tour was fabulous. We gained an hour getting there the night before from where we live. We tried to get something to eat in town at 8:00p.m (which was 7:00 for us) and nothing was open that said they were on a Thursday before Labor day. Finding a place to eat was absolutely frustrating and had to settle for a fast food burger or a Gas station pizza place.....ugh. Closing kitchens at 8pm seemed out of the norm for us especially in a tourist city. With nothing much else to offer outside of a beautiful landscape we probably would not return anytime soon for something to do and see.

Plan your trip ahead.

Plan your trip ahead. If you're bringing your pet, check if the trails allow them. Some don't... The distance between the sites in the National park are far, make sure you have gas and plan which ones you'd like to hike. The best way to see the lakeshore is by water, it's a good experience overall but the lake can be rough so cancellations are frequent. If you like fish, this town is for you. Prices of food are cheap or reasonable.

Pictured rocks was beautiful from the tour boat town was walkable. A brewery or two in town . The shops seemed to close up early . The hotel we stayed in was terrible. Doors slamming at all hours . I believe contractors were staying there .The ice maker sounded like it was outside our door but actually way down the hall. . Can't blame the town for this. Just pick your hotel wisely

We stayed in Munising to take the Pictured Rocks cruise. Unfortunately, the fog was so thick that we could not see the rocks, but the company did refund the fee. Everyone with the cruise company was great, friendly and helpful. Had our first pasty at Miner's Cafe. It was good & friendly staff.

First trip here and would go back in a heartbeat! beautiful area, very clean and inviting. We did the Pictured Rocks tour, stayed at The North Star Hotel and ate at the Dogpatch Cafe...all great places to stay and eat. Pictured rocks tour was great...cold and windy, but still beautiful

Nice town in the middle of the Northern UP right next to...

Nice town in the middle of the Northern UP right next to Pictured Rock National Park and on a beautiful bay that has numerous boat tours to the rocky Lake Superior shores. People in town were very friendly and helpful. Plenty of food choices from pizza to burgers to fresh white fish. Not a fancy place-motels, restaurants and shops offer all you need for a clean and fun visit without breaking the bank.

The property is a bit older but perfectly maintained. And so very clean. I've stayed in very nice resort type places, chain hotels and none of them compare to the cleanliness of this property. And the staff were so helpful and always kind and pleasant.

Scotty's is a quaint little motel. It is located within walking distance of all the restaurants and breweries that Munising has to offer. Our room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. We would stay again.
