We stayed for one night and had a wonderful experience. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the location was perfect for our needs. We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel, and the food was excellent. The staff were kind and helpful, making us feel very welcome. We would happily stay here again.

The location was great not hard to get too at all all of it was paved and shoveled so we had no issues all the games and movies were great the beds were so comfortable and everything was super clean very relaxing and peaceful

    We went to the Rocky Outlet (which has tons of boots!).

    We went to the Rocky Outlet (which has tons of boots!). We also stopped by the coffee shop in town. Great smells were emanating from Star Brick Barbecue. We ate dinner in town at Rhapsody, which is affiliated with Hocking College. Our dinners were delicious! The servings were generous, the beer was really good (a local Russian Imperial Stout from Jackie O's in Athens). They also had an acoustic guitar artist who provided just the right amount of background ambiance. We were celebrating a birthday and it was perfect! (BTW, Rhapsody accepts reservations through Open Table.) We were disappointed that so many of the Nelsonville shops were closed. We hope to return later in the spring and possibly take the scenic rail tour (it was also closed on the weekend we were there). We also enjoyed the art gallery that features works from area students. Some of the pieces were so creative.

    We stayed for the New Year’s Eve train.

    We stayed for the New Year’s Eve train. But was very disappointed when we checked in and had to go to Athens for dinner because with the exception of pizza all restaurants were closed. Even the bar at our lodge was closed for the holiday. If we plan on doing the train again next year, we will just stay in Athens at least we’ll have dinner choices.
