Featuring a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, open from April through October, Ocean 7 is located in Ocean City, NJ, a 1-minute walk from the Ocean Beach Boardwalk. The location to the beach/boardwalk was great. The kitchenette was perfect and was well stocked with dishes, utensils, dish detergent etc. There were sufficient towels, hair products and the beds were very comfortable. Having a heated pool was a bonus as due to Hurricane Larry, we were not able to be in the ocean on one of our days although, it was fun watching the surfers. Foremost, they have the nicest staff in the office who actually seem to enjoy their jobs.

Family friendly, boardwalk is typical tourist but still has to be done. The rides are expensive but the tickets never expire so save the unused ones for next visit. The lifeguards take their job seriously, they actually pulled the entire area out of the water to explain the rules since so many people were ignoring them (and everyone was tired of the whistles) beach was pretty clean, disn't have to walk too far from the entrance to the water. We ate at Opa, great Greek food. Jillys fries and steel's fudge were on our to do list also. We ordered Reds tex mex and they delivered right to our hotel room. Definitely a family vacation memory maker.
OCNJ great family place to vacation, we visited the beaches South , eating at a diner in Wildwood, visiting Cape May light house and bunker on the beach, Stone Harbor walked the shopping areas, many places closed this time of year, but those that were open provided more than enough shopping opportunities, we visited OCNJ as high schoolers and while in colleges, visiting now that we are much older and retired provided many memories and gave us new ones with this visit.
The location to the boardwalk, ocean and shopping was great. The view of the water and sunset & sunrise from the shared balcony was fantastic! The food at the hotel next door was was delicious. The room was professionally decorated and very welcoming. The Bad… the pool and hot tub were unkempt and ice cold. Had they told me this when I called prior to the trip I’d have stayed elsewhere. The pillows were great but the mattress springs were not. The bathroom had 2 half full bottles of shampoo on arrival. The towels were threadbare and some were ripped. The area below the bathroom sink had wooden slats missing and had nails sticking out. There was no coffee maker. This was another item I asked about prior to our arrival. Customer service was sorely lacking. When we asked for towels, a coffee maker & toiletries they said we could pick them up at their front desk in another building. They said to ask the service staff when they came by to clean the room. They never came by because we put out the sign on the door and they said that indicates “do not disturb”. Had they read the sign they’d have seen the side facing out says “please clean the room”. They finally delivered a dirty coffee maker with used coffee grounds in it. I did ask one of their staff with a cleaning cart for some shampoo and was told they didn’t have any! At almost $200 a night they could & should provide their guests with “hotel” basics!
Family friendly place to stay. Light traffic in September after the beach season. People are very friendly, kind & courteous. The seafood restaurants are fantastic!! Both Dawn & Rich who manage The Blue Water Inn are great friendly people. Always ready to help.
Ocean City was kept clean, it's a no smoking area at the Harris House and boardwalk, loved it. Beach was being cleaned at 5am. Staff members were helpful (police officers, security, lifeguards, etc.). On Sunday Morning, there was singing and salute of the flag with police officers and staff members it was beautiful. I want to return before summers over.
I enjoy this dry town that I spent many years coming down with my family. While I cannot afford a fill week’s vacation this year, I was able to stay at Sifting sands... central to everything and easy walking downtown and towards beach. I opted not to move my car once parked. June-July-August are busy times. Everyone was friendly and I had no problems. I will try another place this Labor Day weekend after the tropical storm rains finish. Love OCNJ!
I like that the hotel has a pool and the location was close to the beach. The room was ok. The bed was big and pretty comfy. The noise level wasn't bad at all. There were kids with families and i didn't hear any screaming or crying which was great. The bathtub knobs to turn on the water was old and rusty. It made a squeaky sound when you turn on and off water. Overall the room just looks old and dingy. It is a motel so I didn't have high expectations. I have to say that the manager was very friendly and have great customer service.
Ocean City
This was a last minute decision to go to the beach and we were excited that Ocean Manor had availability. (Childhood memories of Ocean City and seeing Ocean Manor was exciting!) It was the perfect location to the beach and boardwalk for my husband, myself, and our 2 little granddaughters. The front desk staff were very sociable and interacted with our granddaughters wonderfully. The beds were very comfortable which was a plus for me! We will definitely make another trip to Ocean Manor and Ocean City, NJ!
This mini-suite was perfect for one (and would have been for two). A large sitting area with comfortable couches and mounted TV. The kitchen was teeny tiny, but I wasn't cooking so it was a non-issue. The bedroom was ample, with queen size bed, a six-drawer dresser, closet and other furniture. And the bathroom was much larger than I usually find in a hotel.
The hotel worked for our one night stay. It has a great location-only 2 blocks from the Boardwalk. There was off street parking. You got beach passes with your stay (you paid a deposit and received your money back when you returned them). The front desk staff was very nice and helpful.
It was a little expensive but we was close to the boardwalk. We didn’t have a microwave. We have to ask for one and we paid 1,00.000 dollar for two nights. We had it paid for parking per day and for the beach entrance. The hotel didn’t give us pass for the beach or parking pass.
