United StatesA very well appointed vacation home, and we needed nothing except what we wanted to eat and drink. The kitchen space was exceptional, the bathrooms and bedrooms were exceptional with soft towels and comfortable bedding. The outdoor balcony furniture was exceptional. The entire living area was exceptional, and the home did not smell like a beach house as it was super clean and smelled great.
The big windows in the living room and master bedroom gave us fantastic evening and morning views. The home on the penthouse floor, and the view of the ocean, and the constant sea breeze is worth it alone. We have stayed in many vacation homes over the years in Palm Coast, Flagler, and Ponte Vedra. Some being much larger and more expensive. This home is by far our favorite out of them all, and we look forward to our next stay at Paloma.
Pictures do not do it justice, but we took some: moonrise, sunrise, master and second bedroom. Taken with an iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Ormond Beach is lovely. My stay at the Driftwood Hotel not so lovely. #1 the pool was under construction so NO SWIMMING.(It would have been nice to know this b4 I booked my reservation.) Grounds at Hotel were unsightly, dirty. Nightly rates were way too much $$$ for the old and dated condition of this "resort.".

Ormond beach is a very nice City and the beach here is pretty. I do like the hotel alone the beach which give you the opportunity to have an oceanfront room to look out at the ocean in the day time and listen to it at night.

The room we stayed in was the king suite.
The room we stayed in was the king suite. The room had peeling paint on the ceiling over the bed, the sheets were ripped and there was no furniture in the room other than two beds and two night tables. Small kitchenette had an induction cooktop that was not plugged in and had no cookware. There was no coffee maker, and no chairs or table to eat at. The smoke detector was hanging open and not functioning. The door was hard to open and close. There was no after hour contact information in the room. I found a number on the door of the lobby, but no one answered. The Wifi was down. There were signs stating they were renovating but the manager told me they just hadn't updated the pictures. No evidence of renovations. Oh and there was a hole near the door, close to the floor, from an old A/C unit that was covered with loose cardboard and tape. Easy access for entry.

Ormond Beach is a nice town, and the beach area has several good hotels. I would like to see more restaurants on the beach, and a beachside bar would be nice. I like to visit the Humane Society thrift store each time I'm in town, and Dunn's Attic is a good store to browse. Andy Romano park allows beach access to all, and kids like the splash pad. Shout-out to the Starbucks people who were friendly and helpful.
Be prepared to deal with traffic on Granada. I'm not a fan of vehicles on the beach, either. I think beaches should be for people and birds
and not motorized metal.
I like a quiet vacation for reading, walking, and watching the waves.
