Ridgecrest, for a small desert town offers more than expected in dining, coffee options, and a TON of work-out clubs, which is a nice option for me when traveling. Ridgecrest is a hidden gem along the Owens Valley 395 with plenty of eateries and accommodations. Its about a nine hour drive for us from Tucson, AZ which is just about as far as we like to go in one day. The next day is another 5-6 to our family cabin at Lake Tahoe, Ca. Just a couple miles off the main Highway, Ridgecrest is easily accessible. One of our favorite places for a bite to eat and an ice cold beer is at Schooners, a fun lively sports grill with good food and great service! Located on Norma Street.
