It in itself is a quaint and clean area. Cool sights. The real thrill is the enjoyable ride on the DC metro into the historic Washington DC area. You could spend weeks here and never run out of new things to do and see. The Amtrak train will take you all over the region as well. Room cleanliness was poor - boogers from some previous traveler on the wall next to the toilet. Housekeeping didn't service the room at all during our 4-night stay. Other guests propped chairs in the open doorways of their rooms to smoke cigarettes so as not to actually smoke IN the rooms which is so clever. Went for specific family visit, so didn't see much. But seems a lot of things convenient (stores, restaurants, etc). Would not recommend staying here to visit D.C. as the traffic would make commute terrible.
