Great downtown area!
Great downtown area! Very pet friendly! Everyone super friendly. There's lots to do for everyone. Great restaurants! (My favorite is Schu's) On Pleasant St many places to sit and people watch or have a great view of the big splash pad and beach.

The downtown area was great to walk through and go into the shops. Had breakfast at the Chocolate factory and that was a great place !The beach was beautiful and clean, and also had a nice park and Sand volleyball courts. We had dinner at Azul tequila Mexican restaurant. It was really good! I would definitely avoid the silver beach hotel and certainly say anywhere else in the town!

a mini beach town, great beach, some small shops, some restaurants very close, close by other towns and lots of different parks and beaches. Azul tequila is great for Mexican food, Schu's is also great for beer, pub food, and seafood, easy to get around the town, pretty dog friendly

I’ve been to saint joes twice now.
I’ve been to saint joes twice now. Once with my husband and son. Once with our family and friends. It is a great short trip. I think you can even make it a day trip if you live with less travel. It had activities for kids like beach, park, children’s museum, carousel. It has good food options and cute little shops. The lighthouse is really pretty and the beaches are clean. They have closer hotels some more affordable than others and others very affordable only 3 miles away. They even have listing of town events going on or more adult type things to do too. It’s a nice trip to take.

I enjoyed that there were several walking tours that one could take. The restaurants practiced social distancing guidelines. There were biking buggies that you could rent in the city that were cleaned regularly. St. Joseph North was not crowded. I would return to that beach as it allowed for 60-10 feet of social distancing between people. It is easy to get around St. Joseph by walking. I would reccomend bringing masks. I and my children wore masks in public places.

St Joseph is a lovely old port city.
St Joseph is a lovely old port city. Winter and spring are good times to visit. Everything is less expensive and very few entitled Chicago folks. Bundle up but the water, the old architecture is worth the visit. Awesome restaurants with beach or port views.
