A gorgeous town that sometimes feels like a time warp.

A gorgeous town that sometimes feels like a time warp. It is drenched in history and drama, with stories unfolding everywhere. The people are friendly and open to tourists asking questions. If you like ghost tours and spookiness that comes with Savannah, you will enjoy downtown. I recommend the True History Walking Tour and a tour of Bonaventure to give you an overview of the tales this town keeps. If you are a foodie, there is no shortage of places to eat. My faves are Brochu's and Vic's. Will definitely return.

Savannah was a charming city.

Savannah was a charming city. We enjoyed it so much on our last trip from Florida to home, we decided to stop overnight again. This time it was too crowded, and we couldn't get a reservation for dinner. There was some film festival going on. I would check out the activities before I go again.

Savannah was very impressive.

Savannah was very impressive. Old world charm meets cosmopolitan lodging and foodie choices. Many river views in the downtown area. Great place for a romantic getaway.similar to Charleston but not as spread out and intimidating.

Absolutely love Savannah.

Absolutely love Savannah. It is a wonderful trip as a couple or with a group of adult friends. To really enjoy Savannah you must be able to comfortably navigate the streets which are Cobblestone and brick (a lot of uneven surfaces) and you need to take time to sit and enjoy the parks and people watch. If you are travelling to Savannah in the near future (rest of 2025) be aware a lot of Savannah is under construction and restoration. The cathedral is completely engulfed with scaffolding and the fountain at Forsyth Park is under a massive renovation project as well. It will be beautiful when finished, but for now, a lot of work is taking place. Food is great at many of the locally owned restaurants, and the town is peaceful and magical during the day. A local recommended Goosefeathers for breakfast, and it did not disappoint, we even sprung for a seasonal pumpkin Whoopie pie. Vibrant club scene at night with the piano bar, Club One and others. This is also a very eclectic town with SCAD providing a framework for the many differing styles or artists.

Savannah is a hauntingly beautiful city in the South.

Savannah is a hauntingly beautiful city in the South. The Hostess City is one of the most haunted places in the United States. A necropolis built on top of it's deceased surrounded by live Oaks draped with Spanish moss and home to old luxurious buildings and parks. You can feel and see the charming city almost frozen in time with old preserved mansions, mysterious cemeteries and grand squares. Definitely beckons you to return again and again.

Great old house just off the beaten path of the touristy downtown Savannah. None of the frills and all of the charm. Big, high ceilings, super comfy beds. If you are expecting polish and room service look elsewhere. This place oozes character and a bit of dust. I would definitely stay here again. And I am not one to share a bathroom--this place has two and they are kept clean. A real bargain.

Located near the waterfront and a pretty park in the historic district. Breakfast was okay. The water pressure in the bathroom was poor but the water was nice and hot. Room was clean and nicely decorated. The hotel parking was very expensive so we used a public parking garage that was right across the street. It only cost us $7 vs $45 plus would have had to tip the valet twice.

Was quiet, bed was comfy, was clean, office backed on to a perkins restaurant, lots of fsst food near by. Downtown savannah was about 30- 45 min away depending on traffic. Owner is an artist so has made sculptures out of old junk very cool.

The hotel is just on the edge of the Historic downtown area. We had chosen it because of its location to the Event we had come to attend. Didn’t make breakfast the first day but did the second, it was awesome.

Nice and cosy! Great morning breakfast that is complementary. Great location, near the river street and the historic district. Good gym facility as well. Most importantly it is also safe.
