Everything you need for a Roadside Hotel. Outside and property was well maintained, clean and landscaped. Room was well appointed and for the most part really clean. I very much appreciate a laminate floor vs. carpet that you know is never clean. Had a a nice sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, ice machine. Area has grocery stores and restaurants in the area that you can walk to. (Just avoid the Mexican place across the street, unless you want some stomach upset! Trust me you'll thank me!) Room was clean, carpet smelled. We were given a room that was already occupied. I found out when I unlocked the door and opened it. Someone's things were inside. The beds were very comfortable and no noise from neighboring rooms. One elevator was not working so we spent a lot of time in line and using the stair’s to get to the seventh floor. Seaside is right next to Monterey, so the trip over was very short. Seaside has grown a lot in the last 10 years, and there are many newer businesses geared toward tourism to choose from. For example we were able to catch one of the NBA finals games at the nearby Buffalo Wild wings. Lots of fast food and other restaurants and also shopping such as Grocery outlet and Walgreens nearby. I did not realise it was a motel type hotel with the doors straight outside onto the car park if you’re on the bottom floor. You need a car to get round into Monterey but a taxi is easy enough, it’s not walking distance! Great staff and clean place so would recommend it.
