Sedona was great for us, first time visitors. The weather was warmer than we had hoped ; but if you want to go hiking on any of the trails the early bird gets the parking spots. But you can take the shuttles and get dropped off ,but then you have to time it right to get the shuttle back to your vehicle. But all in all the novice hiker should plan to go in the early fall when it is cooler temps and not as crowded with the many families we encountered. We loved every spot we visited along both routes 89 & 179; Had great meals at Maria's Cantina and Torta's Fuego. Getting around is easy, just be careful at the round abouts, as most people tend to not obey the yield signs. Our next trip into the valley we will park the car and either walk or take the shuttle, in the cooler months.

Definitely need several days to really get the full Sedona experience. Sedona is a place you feel at peace, and can just take in the beautiful surroundings of nature. Recommend for people who want to explore, be one with Nature, and hike. Sedona has grown so much and I hope it does not turn into too much more of a "tourist" attraction. Sedona is definitely for those who want to relax, hike, or be in nature.

Beautiful area! Loved the resort! Will definitely return!
Beautiful area! Loved the resort! Will definitely return! The view was lovely. The grounds were beautiful and well kept and very pleasant for taking a walk. Loved the restaurant. Food was a tad expensive but it is everywhere. Staff was friendly everywhere at the resort. Not one person who wasn't nice except a couple guests at lunch who wanted their own menu because they didn't think the offering on the menu was posh enough. Manager had to tell them it was the only menu they had available. We sent our sympathy to their server.
Only down side was getting luggage to and from the car to the room on the lower level. However, we loved having the patio room on the lower level to walk out onto the grounds in the evening. Very pleasant.

Fantastic place to sped a 4-day weekend for lovers of the outdoors. We packed in hiking during the day and guided hiking after dark, a jeep tour of the Outlaw Trail, glass blowing at the Melting Point, and a day trip to Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon. Combine scenic views, great trails to explore, and wonderful guides with good cuisine and a convenient drive from Sky Harbor, and this is an awesome destination for anyone looking for a getaway!
Very pet friendly. The woman at the front desk, sorry I don't remember her name, was exceptionally helpful with tips on things to do in Sedona and getting us what we needed for the room. We had an unexpected health issue with our dog. She was very caring regarding our pet. Fortunatley It all worked out. The room is really nice looking and cozy. The fireplace was cool. The bed was very comfortable.
Perfect location at Bell Rock, you can do the best hike (double loop) starting from your hotel without searching for parking lots. The view from our rook was fantastic, and the picknic area offers the same beautiful view for everyone. The room was big, very clean and had everything you need for a longer stay. The woman at the reception was very kind, we felt very welcome.
The most amazing view of the Red rocks from our room balcony. The hotel is cosy & in a great location as all shops & restaurants are in walking distance. This hotel is also listed by a lot of the tour companies for pick up. It is also located very close to the Sedona OHV routes for the best ATV off roading experiences - a must when in Sedona!
The view was lovely from the pool and restaurant and the hotel is very conveniently located for the town of Sedona. Rooms and bathrooms were comfortable and well kitted out.
