Sedona has amazing nature and great hikes. We could've done more but there just wasn't enough time in the day! We fished at the rainbow trout fishery, hiked around Bell Rock, hiked West Fork trail, swung by the holy cross, and did plenty of shopping. Only thing thats not good in Sedona is the food. But some restaurants are decent. Check out The Vault, for great food and drink.
Both my husband and I agree it was the trip of a lifetime! It was so beautiful, the food was amazing, and all the tours we planned were 100%. The 51 mile rafting trip down the Grand Canyon (leaving from Peach Springs was the most amazing adventure we have ever taken. The Lumberyard in Flagstaff was a MUST for restaurant dining! We truly were happy with all of our tours including a ghost tour and we’re happy to leave the last day open for sight seeing. We are both over 60
Sedona is one of the most beautiful places I have visited. The scenery is like nothing I have ever seen. I am from Tennessee, so I am familiar with beauty. We have beautiful mountains, but Sedona is like nothing I have ever experienced. It is like stepping into another world.
I've lived in Phoenix all my life, for someone who's visited it frequently yearly.. it's HIGHLY recommended.. Only thing I suggest is to stay away from Slide Rock, only because of the bacteria levels in the water
Sedona is one of the most beautiful places on the planet! I keep coming back. Apart from the breathtaking scenery, there is so much to do. You can do a different hike every day. You can have a shopping experience or you can have a spiritual experience. So much choice for healing and treatments and readings. The restaurants are great too especially my favourite, Oaxaca.
I loved the energy and the feeling of the place. Gorgeous hikes, quiet and peaceful. I loved that there were no bars and not much nightlife...the focus was on hiking and appreciating nature. We had a rental car so it was easy to get around, and we stayed 5 minutes from town. Restaurants closed early and there weren't many options for me because I am gluten-free (there seemed to be an over abundance of Italian restaurants). But we went to the grocery store and cooked in our unit. I highly recommend Sedona and I want to go back and stay longer!
Sedona
Some of the staff was more than exceptional. Hannah(bartender) was entertaining and fun to be around. She had good advice for local activities, was funny, and made us feel comfortable. She made us want to go back to the hotel bar. On Wednesday nights, they hire a local( but well-known) astromiter to bring his equipment to the hotel. Dennis Young is very knowledgeable about his passion, and it may have been the coolest thing we got to experience in sedona. Dont miss his presentation if you get the chance to see it.
I've done a lot of travelling (97 countries) but staying at Cosy Cactus was one of my best hotel experiences. It is has a charming location, great wifi, shower pressure, HUGE bed, generous amenities (a filter coffee machine *within* the room) and a delicious, light breakfast with a jaw dropping mountain view. Mark and the team went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and have built a really lovely and warm community with all the guests. It was an excellent place for our honeymoon :).
The price for this hotel was quite a bit lower than others available in Sedona on the night of my visit and I wasn't expecting much. I rented 2 rooms, each with two Queen beds. The rooms were clean, up to date and well-maintained. Breakfast was included, which provided a bit more than is typical for "in the reception lobby" breakfasts, including pancakes, cheese omlets, bagels, pastries and hot and cold cereals. Good wifi. Quiet. Staff was very helpful.
Sedona
Hotel was very clean, owner was exceptionally nice. Good value for Sedona area, it is a little distance out of town so when we drove home from dinner it was dark, and I mean it's black dark. Most places close very early in Sedona except the restraunts so get out early if you plan on shopping. Dinner was very good and hotel was very quiet. The owner let us check in early which was great, I would recommend this place and would stay again,
West, Sedona
The staff was very attentive and kind. The motel was in an excellent area of Sedona walking and shuttle to exibits were redildly available. The family owned staff and the quaintness of the property added to the experience. The motel was very clean, the pooland hot tub well maintained. I enjoyed staying here better than a bigger hotel. It was quiet and convenient. We will absolutely stay here again
Wonderful hotel, great location (not far from Sedona but situated among the Red Rocks), lots of amenities nearby Limited continental breakfast but appreciated the Gluten Free blueberry muffins! We received a complimentary upgrade to an enormous room - it made our vacation so memorable. We loved every bit of our stay! Will be back to this hotel for sure.
Sedona
What a wonderful place to stay in the very heart of Sedona! The beautiful art district is right across the road (Tlaquepaque) and the best restaurant in the country - Creekside! This motel was recently remodeled and looks very elegant! There is a beautiful deck that is open to all guests with an incredible view of Sedona Valley.
The location is brilliant - near lots of trails, and right near the centre of Sedona town. The complex itself is huge, with a lovely swimming pool area, pretty rooms, and beautiful views out into Sedona. The room had a small kitchenette with all the basics, and the bathroom was big.
great location, beautiful resort. Its one of the best hotels we have stayed in in Arizona!!! We are definitely planning on staying here again when we visit Sedona. great resort, food, drinks, Starbucks in mornings. lots of activities for kids and love the fire pits lol
A modern hotel with front row views of the red rocks. Just 15 minutes drive to trails and right on the upper sedona action. The location was perfect for us to park and walk around. The room was renovated and spacious and is a value to other hotels in the area.
Excellent location. Loved that there was a nice grocery store right behind the hotel, and several good restaurants within walking distance. Great price for a comfortable and clean hotel to stay at when exploring beautiful Sedona.
Uptown, Sedona
Breakfast was excellent. Nice home cooked food and excellent service. Room was lovely and a very convenient location for walking into Sedona for shopping. The owner was lovely. Such a great personality. A definite must return.
Location was perfect. Away from the hustle and bustle of Sedona but close to sights and trails. Away from main road so less noisy. A few restaurants nearby. Staff at front desk very pleasant.
Sedona
Beautiful location, just off the main road into Sedona. Spacious and comfy lodges, multiple pools, Fitness suite, really good restaurant on site. Easy drive into Sedona.
I love the location of this hotel. Centrally located to all the attractions. This hotel has some of the best views of Sedona.
Nice overall property with great view of Sedona and enjoyable grounds for walking. Appreciated the non-chain hotel vibe!
Uptown, Sedona
