we love the gambling. I’m just playing penny slots was absolutely wonderful. We ended up moving up to quarter slots but we had so much fun and we only took like $300 and still came home with money. We got to the hotel at 1130.
We got to the hotel at 1130. The bank approved the reservation, but thought the charge out of state,because it bills as Dallas/Shreveport, was fraudulent. By time we got that taken care of it was past 2am. We hotel hopped for a week between Wingate and comped rooms at El Dorado, now Bally's casino. Great facilities and staff. I liked my view from the window and that the bathroom had a separate walk in shower and a huge garden tub. Enjoyed the visit,but they need to work on getting retail stores in the boardwalk river front. About 85% empty since the panicdemic and not returned. We ate at the Saltgrass and it was very good with friendly staff. Also there are no buffets at any of the casinos, but the restaurant is very good and affordable. Still plenty of sportsbars and clubs trying to come back for nightlife entertainment. If you like antique or thrift stores, there are plenty within 5-10 miles from casinos. Be sure to use your GPS and there won't be a problem getting around town. So sad, it has great tourist potential for revenue and tax base. Oh yeah, beware of the $15 a day resort fees, not sure how they justify them.
