Several excellent casual dining options on the island, The Blue Parrot, being the standout. Also many more options for dining, shopping and sightseeing in nearby Appalachicola. The best oysters in the world!

St George island is an excellent location for couples, families and very dog-friendly. We were able to walk on sidewalks to local restaurants, especially Paddy's Raw Bar. Exceptional food and staff. When you book a place, we recommend that you look at its location on Google Maps. The St. George Inn for example, has photos on its website that it is a beachfront property. Not so. However the beach is a 300m walk and directly across from the historical lighthouse.

This was our second trip to St. George Island. We are drawn to the slow pace of the island. The beaches are clean, beautiful, with tourists. There is also a State Park located on the east end of the island that offers a near private beach experience. We enjoyed renting a golf cart during our stay to explore. Don’t miss the donut shop, but get there early.

St. George is a beautiful Island. It has excellent beaches and a great variety of places to stay. Several restaurants on the island, along with ice cream parlors and gift shops. We enjoyed it immenesly.

We loved this location, chosen to break a road trip from New Orleans to Tampa. Given it was near spring break , the area is not at all crowded, in fact the opposite. Lots of wild life , the National Park is very pretty and well worth exploring. We ate at all the establishments but the Blue Parrot was on the beach and staggering distance from our motel. It was fun and the food was good. Service too.

There was not much right except the staff and location. I did not shower in the morning because the bathroom was gross a dirty wash rag hanging on top of the shower curtain. I was happy to be on my way home and out of there. Staff was friendly condition was not their fault. Location was good. Building looks good from street.
