Location was great- lovely view of the bay in a quiet neighborhood but not too far from beach. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Really enjoyed the flow of the outdoor spaces to enjoy like the wrap around deck, fenced yard, pool area, especially that it was safe and secure for the dog. Kids enjoyed the game room. We loved watching the sunset from the bay window of the dining area. Comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. The digital guide was extremely helpful and detailed.

Very nice room, comfortable king size bed; bathroom and amenities; closet. We had a balcony room on ground floor. Side door opened to a wrap around porch. The house has a common area with sitting room, dining room and kitchen. Coffee was furnished, Keurig k cups, creamers and sugars. Everything we needed. Very good location! Walking distance to everything.

excellent location, very quite with lots of birds, frogs, and lizards around the property. the walk to the beach is not bad at all, but might be tough with a lot of beach gear. the kitchen is small, but has everything we needed, just wouldn't try to cook a big meal in it (go out for dinner). the hot tub was great to unwind every night.

Quaint, peaceful, relaxing & absolutely charming.

Quaint, peaceful, relaxing & absolutely charming. My family does not like the hustle & bustle such as PCB & choose SGI every time for our beach trips. Paddy’s Raw Bar is delicious, love the pizza at BJ’s, ice cream & coffee on the corner, & don’t forget the local grocery store with all your basic essentials you’ll need. Apalachicola is only a few minute drive with so many restaurants to choose from as well as shopping.

The beach is beautiful.

The beach is beautiful. We saw lots of wildlife including a pod of dolphins. There were several good restaurants and a nice Piggly Wiggly grocery store. There were no high rises. It looks like old timey Florida. It is easy to get around as it is a small island. You can rent beach umbrellas and chairs from a local company-SGI rentals. I would go back. I liked it better than Panama City or Gulf Shores.

If you want crowds on beaches and filth left behind by...

If you want crowds on beaches and filth left behind by tourists then this pristine beach and island aren't for you! If you love total relaxation and calmness and cleanliness...head here without hesitation!. Must do: The Island Park on the East end, Sunset spots on the northwestern end, Paddy's for pretty good food and live entertainers, walking short distances to miles on the beaches, swimming in the Gulf to your heart's content!.

What a beautiful place.

What a beautiful place. It is definitely a quiet place to stay with limited activities, shopping and eating. However, we were ok with that because we were there for the beach not the fluff!. The restaurant where we ate was very good. Everyone on the island was very friendly and welcoming.

St George Island is the most laid back area of Florida you...

St George Island is the most laid back area of Florida you can go to. There is a lot to see without the hustle and bustle of the more “touristy” areas of Florida. This is truly “old” Florida with a lot to see and do. If you are looking for fast paced Florida visit, stay away. This is what Florida stated as. Thank you Florida for preserving this little piece of Heaven.

St. George Island is great for a peace and quiet getaway...

St. George Island is great for a peace and quiet getaway with beaches. There isn’t a ton of stuff to do there, limited shops and restaurants but what is there is pretty good. People are friendly and it can get crowded around holidays. If you don’t mind limited shopping and restaurants it’s great. Historic Apalachicola is just across the bridge.
