Overall a great stay. The woman working at the front desk was a bit surly in our interactions with her. The rest of the staff were great. Also, I made a suggestion already, but PLEASE lower the temp of the coffee. I love hot coffee but this was SCALDING. I couldn't put the lid on to let it cool and almost spilled and burned my 5 year old son. Doesn't need to be THAT hot--thanks.

If you like fishing, lots of opportunities from shore and boatsl Explore restaurants away from the beach,go to Big Sams which is a local "dive bar" with good food, prices and staff. We liked Ocean Beach in Maryland better but we might come back and stay at a different place. The people we met here especially at the inlet fishing were great. The traffic here is a little crazy and the drivers not very polite but they may not have been the locals

    I wanted to stay on the beach the entire vacation and that’s what I did. Water was peaceful and everyone was courteous. Sunnyside cafe & restaurant was my favorite breakfast spot. CP Shuckers was my favorite dinner spot with Brandon being the most humble courteous person throughout the trip.

    Beautiful city with high population and a lot of tourists.

    Beautiful city with high population and a lot of tourists. People around me were friendly. I wasn't bothered by anyone. I visited nice restaurants with good service but pricy. I would recommend other people to save up enough and take more cash because some places change fee for credit card. But it's a very good place to visit for a few days.

    Love the trolley-but they should run more often, especially when there is an event or festival in town. We had a long wait between trolleys, and when the trolley finally arrived, the driver had to sit for 10 minutes and explain to each passenger the fare system. Payment for the trolley is not clearly stated-the driver has to explain how the trolley works and how much it costs to EVERY person who boards the trolley. Really, the trolley company should have handouts at each hotel and shop and restaurant in the area, and people should be able to purchase tickets at hotels and shops. That would cut down on wait times, and help move the trolleys along. Virginia Beach has a lot of nice restaurants and cute boutiques, not to mention a souvenir shop on almost every corner. Nice laid back atmosphere.

    The traffic and road construction getting to Virginia Beach is horrendous. A lot of the restaurants are very touristy and not very good. The beach is well taken care of and there are life guards. It is a haven for people with kids as most hotels have pools too.
