We came for a baseball game. This is absolutely the most sensational place to watch a game while air jumping practice is in the background. Just awesome! And, the Mexican restaurant across the street is incredible for food!
Hey, it’s my Alma Mater. What do you think I’m going to say? I wonder if there will ever be a time when major construction is not ongoing!! It’s pretty funny. Almost fifty years. It’s becoming just another tradition! Buffet breakfast was great. But, we also took in the local spots for nostalgic reasons for other meals. Getting around is easy if you lived there as we did. I pity the poor souls who didn’t know their way around.
Had a great time walking through the historic grounds of West Point with my partner who taught at West Point 30 years ago. Loved seeing cadets in formation prior to going to Washington Hall for lunch (4,000 cadets converging upon the mess hall at the same time to be fed)! Played the West Point Golf Course & truly enjoyed the majestic beauty of its surroundings!! Very memorable 4 days!
Beautiful small town. Wonderful tours of the Post. Plenty of choices to eat and nice shops. Great views and the mountains plus the whole area was perfect. We are not young so looking for excitement was not a priority for us. I bet it is cold there in the winter.
We were only there for a 1/2 marathon race, which was incredibly hilly. Otherwise, there didn't seem to be much to do in the town. Would probably be more fun for someone interested in military/US history.
The bathroom was way to small the parking could be better designed and the front desk needs someone that is more welcoming and energetic. The good part was that it was very close to West point academy and the bed was comfortable
