The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. It was great to stay in this lovely farmhouse from the 1700’s. Two of the best breakfasts ever, in a lovely setting. Fresh fruit and veg from the farm, delicious goat cheese from the goats and lovely fresh eggs from the chickens. Delightful and restorative.

This downtown Vernon hotel features rooms with free Wi-Fi and cable TVs. The property is 13 miles from Hartford, Connecticut. Days Inn Vernon offers rooms with coffee makers and air conditioning. When I arrived at the property I had just driven 5 hours after a 7 hour drive to a horrible property that overcharged me and LITERALLY had prostitutes fist fighting! Nichole got us into a room so we could settle and rest after a horrible experience . She was amazingly compassionate and I can’t express how much I felt that she genuinely cared. She and the property manager did what they could to assist me with being overcharged. The helped soothe the trauma
When we arrived we had to wait for the front desk person to be located. The water was not very warm in the shower, the shower curtains need to be cleaned better kind of moldy around the bottom. The hotel smelled of cigarettes smoke and though our room was smoke free the whole place reeked. The carpets at entrance were very shabby
Stayed at awful Rodeway Inn. chose it because it was close to UConn. Stayed because it was late and we were tired. Hotel breakfast was subpar so ate at the restaurant across the parking lot which was great.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. As someone stated sleep in your car if you can't find a hotel in the area. This is a disgrace to the Choice Hotel Chain. The smell of cigarettes when you walk into the hotel is disgusting, I wasn't aware that smoking was still allowed in hotels. When you get to the room. I'm hoping the sheets and towels were clean. Four of us stayed in the room, we requested more towels and received two more. The smell in the room was a combination of mold/mildew and moth balls. We had to put the AC on in hopes of getting some decent recycled air since the window screen had a hole in it that a bird could have flown in. There were no skirts on the boxsprings. The mildew in the shower curtain rivaled that of a frat house, let alone did not cover the entry way of the shower stall. There was one meager bottle of shampoo along with two bars of soap that was about as thin as a credit card. The vending machines were hardly full. The exercise room was locked for two days. On the Saturday breakfast there was coffee with a half full gallon of milk, and a half full container of Sunny Delight, so much for a continental breakfast. This hotel really needs to either be condemned by the Board of Health or closed down.
