Caracas has many beautiful places to visit, the greatest places you could go to if oyu are in the city are: the children's museum and the Generalissimo Francisco de Miranda Park formerly known as the "East park". You will need a full day to visit each of these places thoroughly and enjoy as much as you can while relaxing in the surrounding areas.
Caracas is not now the great city it used to be, everything looks runned out, people have not learned nothing from the crisis, the buildings are lonely, looks like many business just left their properties and fled, i'd really wouldn't recommend caracas if you think you are going to a normal South American capital, but if you want to come for other reasons it is alright, though to much expensive in quality-price relation.
despite everything that we say about security, we had no problems. It is enough to keep low profile, as little jewelry as possible and keep your money safe and not show it off. Caracas is a city full of surprises and many activities are offered We love the cable car to Mount Avila and the view of the guaira
Even though the economical situation is hard, it´s nice to see warm people, lots of trees, different kinds of birds and less traffic in this city. I love the weather and hope to see more places around.
You can only pay in dollars and not every establishment accept dollars, you can't change dollars in Bolivares, not in a bank not at supermarkets, green for green, macaracuay is a quiet safe neighborhood. In supermarkets is everything to buy for, no problem.
Caracas is amazing city even with all politics and social problems... I could find everything. I had amazing nights around the nightclubs. I can indicate to gay people the clubs like Cool Cafe and Copas. I can indicate to strength people the club Sawu. Most of the places accepts dólar and Euro in the change of the day. The public transport I can’t recommend cause I never used. But I know it is very bad, dirty, dangerous and destroyed. My main tip for who is coming for caracas is: BRING Notes IN 1 dollar MAXIMO AS YOU CAN. Because almost everything costs 1,2 dollars and they don’ change you back. And if they do they will do in Venezuela currency which is very low and difficult to use because it everyday changes.
