The airport is very deteriorated but it is the only one, so...
The airport is very deteriorated but it is the only one, so passengers should be patient! International flights check in could be a real nightmare. Police can take you to the airport basements to check your bags (they don't even use gloves!) and the procedure takes for ever. Also, even carry on could be re-checked before getting into de aircraft. Rest rooms are not in good shape. It is a kind of scary to walk out of the airport at night time. Special mention to Milena from the hotel in Barinas, Milena provided all the help and sorted the delivery of the food I forgot. Milena was very helpful, quick and diligent, kudos!
