Tanna Island
Nestled into beautiful tropical gardens, 328 feet from pristine coral reef, each private island style bure at White Grass Ocean Resort has a private terrace with ocean views. We stayed at White Grass for 3 nights and loved it! After our stay in the jungle/volcano it was a nice break to chill out at white grass. The restaurant food was amazing and the view is awesome. We also did a trip to the blue cave which I recommend.

Rocky Ridge provides a lovely, rustic and authentic bungalow experience. Clarence and Tom were very welcoming during our stay. Tom’s blue hole which is situated right out the back of the property was hands down our favourite thing to do in Tanna! Thanks again, Ed and Katie

Tanna is a beautiful Island. The snorkeling isn't as easy or accessible as Santo, but there are some amazing blue holes. When we were there was alot of strong currents and low tides during the day making it hard to snorkel easily. The Volcano is an absolute must, and worth travelling to Tanna just for that. Where the resorts are located such as Evergreen, and White Grass, it is a long ride or car ride to the island attractions, so be prepared for that. 2 or 3 nights is a good amount of time, and consider staying a few nights at different places to get a different kind of experience across the island.
Volcano safari was the primary reason for this trip yet we enjoyed our snorkelling outings right off the beaches. It is not easy to get around the island: there is no local transportation, no buses, few taxis. We had bikes for one day but the roads are narrow and very poor. You need to rely on the local accommodation to get you around. Only places to eat are at your accommodation. We stayed next to 2 other resorts so used their restaurants. Limited menus due to isolated location but the food was very good. Expensive due to its isolation. Locals are very friendly.
Obviously people go there for the volcano. And so did we. It was a magnificent experience. Makes one feel very small next to a rumbling crater full of lava. Tana island itself is beautiful and has many other sights to see. Just be mindful of the cost to get around.
Tanna island is amazing, we spent 4 days on the islaned. We stayed at yakul kustom village wirh Denna Charley and his village for 1 night. We experienced a kustom dance, kava drinking, basket weaving, waterfall which was amazing. Then we walked across the island from West to East and stayed at the Volcano island paradise bungalow. 15min drive to hot springs and ocean. Morris ans suzie were great hosts.
We were only on Tanna for two days and saw mount Yasur and all it's glory as well as the Blue Cave. Both were absolutely stunning and experiences we will not forget anytime soon. Unfortunately there was not much time to see the island properly. But I would definitely return to do it properly.
Yasur volcano amazing. The food at the bungalow was fantastic home cooked meals. Hosts provide transfers from airport and to sights for you otherwise is difficult. Great natural island with plenty to do, a bit costly for a lot of the tours compared to Efate. A great experience.

The hotel and the location is beautiful, even though its a bit out of date. Still, we really enjoyed short stay in this hotel.
