This was more than just a farm stay. We loved the homely accommodation, beautiful scenery and the wildlife roaming around the house. The nearby river makes for wonderful fun with the kids. A great place to relax and also plenty to explore.

    This was my 1st visit to Bredasdorp and because I was nervous about travelling with my dog, I didn't spend much time in the town itself. Of what I did see, I was impressed as it's well developed with all amenities.

    The town is very clean and has all the major retailers there and a few restaurants. Many of the houses are beautifully maintained with lovely gardens. The Shipwreck Museum is excellent and well worth the low entrance fee.

    Bredasdorp is known as the capital of the Overberg District.

    Bredasdorp is known as the capital of the Overberg District. It is a medium size town with all major shopping centres, eg Shoprite, Spar, Mr Price, PEP etc. A couple of fast food outlets, eg KFC and some Pizza and Fish and Chips take away shops. Other interesting curious shops. The local population definately gives the town a flair of it's own. The town is in close driving vacinity of other picturesque and seaside towns, eg Arniston, Struisbaai and Cape Agulhas (the southernmost tip of Africa).

    The garden is very beautiful and nicely layed out suiting the cottage/farm vibe. Peaceful and quiet. We as a family enjoyed our stay very much. Had a lovely breakfast in the sun room. Will definitely made use of them when in the area again. Megan Anderson was also part of the landscaping at L'Agulhas, the most southernest point of Africa.

    If you are looking for true South African hospitality and wanting to get away from the city rush, the gentle church bell and the clean air will give you that peaceful feeling. Attention to detail and oldstyle decor will also charm you. The museum nearby is very interesting too.
