The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The room was huge, well decorated and had a lovely big bath tub. The staff were absolutely incredible. I unfortunately didn't get either of their names but the ladies at the front desk were so helpful, polite and made our day. They helped us out when our flight was delayed. We got some complimentary wine with the room and generally had a lovely experience. The restaurants were also really good. Would 1000% recommend a stay here.

The apartment was cleaned daily with fresh juice, yogurt, and rusks. The owner offered to do our laundry free of charge which was an amazing help. The garden is beautiful, the location is easy to find and close to points of interest.

We were upgraded free of charge for which we were very grateful. The property is located in a lovely suburb in a quiet street. The room was well appointed and was serviced daily, we enjoyed having fresh towels and a neatly made bed every day. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay, will definitely stay there again.

    Nestled in winelands, with pictureqsqe mountain backdrops - this is small town grown big yet retains the heart of civility. There's something for everyone - outdoors lovers, shops, Lindt chocolate sotres - and a lot of great restaurants such as Jean to choose from. It's conveniently located to Stellenbosch and on the wine route, within an hour of Cape Town airport, and arguably has the best cardiologist and some of the best medical facilities in South Africa. Downside - the accomodation is not nearly as good as the internet and Bookings.com photo's suggest. Don't trust the ***** star ratings - complete BS, unverified.

    The outside view of the rooms is not appealing. The moment I landed at the place, before i could walk inside the property, I felt like I made a mistake. But one you enter the house, you feel like you are somewhere different from the outside place.

    It was a short trip, but we could have stayed longer if we could. We attended a wedding at Lichtenburg Farm Wedding Venue and visited the V & A Waterfront the next day, having lunch at Quay Four. Also had supper at Cape Town Brauhaus in Durbanville. With GPS it was not too bad. The only time that was really problematic, was the traffic heading back to the airport. It took us 1 and a half hour, almost missing our flight.

    Durbanville is a great community of very lovely wine farms and a town nearby. Delightful bustling restaurants and shopping. the wine farms are exceptional and the food served is brilliant. Favourite places to eat Bossa and La Romantica in Meerendal and Cassia at Nitida wine farm also. we hired a car and managed to get around with a vodacom sim card which we didnt buy at airport (more expensive) if you there for a week or more and use whatsapp and facebook get 4gb or more. we found being from overseas it was easiest this way. Always check when you landing to collection of vehicles at car hire airport. other favourite resto was Damhuis in Melkbosrand wow incredible and also Onse huisie for breakfast on the sea. i would avoid school holidays as it is too busy then

    As a first time it was interesting.

    As a first time it was interesting. The view of the mountains was amazing. The situation of the hotel was lovely, being close to the hospital. Very restful. Maybe a list of shops and map of where they are situated would help.

    We ate at Tigers Milk, pricey but food was good.

    We ate at Tigers Milk, pricey but food was good. Went to Tyger mall, that's a 2 day trip! only walked around the top part the down stairs is for another day. We booked accomodation 10 minutes away, parking easy and seemed safe. One ways a little difficult and getting in the right lane nor always easy.

    First of all.. i think i left with one of your hand mirrors... definitely was still going to call if you missing one as i was sure i took my own. the shower was amazing... i would have liked a healthier snack option or opportunity to purchase even - in the room the room was beautifully dark which i wasnt expecting the manageress was souper efficient and friendly thank you... would be nice to even have a simple breakfast option at the boutique hotel vs having to go to Bossa if we had wanted to stay... just a thought.

    This was a very comfortable property with friendly staff and in a good location. It was a delight to discover Durbanville and the lodge gave great recommendations on places to eat. It was nice to have one's own private wing and to have decent heating, we found the weather cold! All round it was a very pleasant stay.
