The cottaqe is very cute, and was as described. The owner and caretaker / guide were terrific. The game drives were a lot of fun. It was a fully immersive experience for us, Elephants everywhere, herds walking around the cottage, Giraffe's stopped by, lots of Impalas, we didn't see the Lions strolling around the cottage but did see them while driving in and out of the reserve. I'd highly recommend!

pretty much everything. We booked three nights as a way to decompress prior to our three weeks in Kruger since we had travelled so far .Due to a flight delay and missing our connection to Hoedspruit it was only two but the owners were very accommodating We didn’t need three bedrooms but loved having them. Efficient air conditioners in every room, even a washer and dryer although there was a clothes line for outside drying if one wished. Lovely shaded lapa which was appreciated during an afternoon load shedding . Pool which we didn’t use because we are not pool people. very secure property with an alarm system but the neighborhood was generally very quiet. But what stood out was the kindness and generosity of the owner. We had a lot of shopping to do and he drove us to places that we, as tourists, would not know about . Took us out twice even! Definitely would stay there again

This bush house is very private and quiet. It is a spacious and stylish tucked away in wild African bush. As I am a performer and clown, I had my 7 foot unicycle with me and Guido not only allowed me to use the tennis court on the Estate to practice on, but bought me a ladder 🪜 to mount my bike with too! It was so surreal, practicing on my unicycle early mornings with impala giving me quizzical looks … no doubt wondering what I was! So thank you with all my heart Guido and am already looking forward to returning later in the year… Gillian xxxx

Antares is in a great location on a nice reserve. The stand-out feature is the eye-level hide that affords some great viewing/photography opportunities of the lodge’s private waterhole. While we were there we had visits from impala, kudu, rhinos, terrapin and loads of birds. The staff is friendly, but non-intrusive and did an excellent job of keeping everything clean and tidy. The owner, Ian spends a lot of time at the house, which is unusual for a host. He also serves as the guide for private daily safaris and his knowledge of the bush is amazing.

The distance to the location is not what is expressed on booking.com, breakfast was not pleasing, area next to the river with a beautiful morning breeze, owners dog entering kitchen and disturbing customers.
