Upgraded, clean modern bathrooms; great sheets and linen; cosy duvets and everything we needed in the kitchen. I believe the DSTV was the full package, but we never got a chance to watch anything! As close as the house was to other houses, it was surprisingly quiet and private. Single carport has a canopy to protect the car from the sun & rain. Also cleverly designed so that the back outside braai area is protected from the wind.

The location, cleanliness and decor of the venue was simply wonderful. The host checked up on us frequently, but without intrusion of privacy. He recommended eateries and shared other relevant information. The WiFi was an added bonus. Although there is an alarm, the feeling of safety was very strong.

Incredible views and amazing design. The cottage was very well thought out with a living room, separate bedroom, and connecting outdoor space. Facilities were very thoughtful — outlets everywhere, functional bathroom, etc. Food was very good.

    Great location. Amazing beach, ocean and rockpools. The house is basic but clean and well equipped. A minor problem was resolved very fast by the hosts . Nice brewery in a walking distance. Cute , well stocked supermarket - also very close. We had a great and relaxing stay

    The accommodation was just perfect.

    The accommodation was just perfect. Clean and tidy and not cluttered. It included everything one would need when on holiday. There is also a convenience shop in the resort. Gansbaai is just about twenty minutes drive away where there is Spar, chemist etc.

    The house was large and comfortable, very spacious.

    The house was large and comfortable, very spacious. We felt at ease and the views were amazing from almost every angle in the house. The beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. The bathrooms were very good with a bath and a shower. The sound of the ocean in the background of your whole day just made me feel at peace. The sunsets were spectacular to view. I would highly recommend this place for a weekend break!

    We enjoyed our stay at The Ark BnB and can certainly recommend this one. The hosts Marian and Johan were so friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to meet our every need. We were royally treated like good friends. The breakfasts were substantial and absolutely delicious. The room was luxuriously fitted and extremely comfortable and stylish. They also gave suggestions as to what to do and where to visit that was helpful. Pearly Beach itself is a pretty seaside town with lots to see and do. The long beach was clean with silky soft sand

    Pearly beach is about 2 hours from Cape Town so be prepared...

    Pearly beach is about 2 hours from Cape Town so be prepared to put in the kilometers. You have to drive to Gansbaai for restaurant options and most extra mural activities are in Gansbaai. If you want to cut yourself off from the city life, this is the place to go to. Just remember to make your booking arrangements early especially over the holiday and long weekend periods. The private beach is awesome.
