It was a pleasant place to stay. It was not too built up and therefore not too busy. The beaches were virtually deserted which made for a very pleasant experience. Very accessible and easy to navigate. Had a wonderful meal in The Fat Fish.
Lovely coastal town, great restaurants and beautiful long beaches for walks. My favourite Le Fournil for the most amazing almond croissants! Also great are Lookout Deck, Nineteen 89, Newstead Winery, Enrico's and Fat Fish. Places to stay: The Plettenberg (iconic), Sky Villa hotel, and also Robberg Beach Lodge and Bungalow. I could visit Plett once or twice a year and never get tired of it.
Robberg is a must on every visitor's list. Great restaurants and shopping malls. Keurbooms Strand is a close drive away and worth the visit. Will definitely recommend Bramon winery and Titsikama canopy tours as part of the Plet stay. Thumbs up to the restaurant Upper Deck and Barringtons. Farm Stall Thyme and Again is a treasure hunt for young and old and a must on every visitor's list.
Heading up the Garden Route. So far we have stayed at every major beach community on the way. With the exception of Hermanus, we enjoyed Plettenberg Bay more than Wilderness or Kysna. Loved Wilderness, but more to do and see in Plettenberg. Beaches are really wonderful and long. The nature reserves and hikes have some of the best views in the world. Tons of restaurants, white sandy beaches, friendly people. It's also just down the road from Tsistikama which is great!
Being able to explore Tsi Tsi kama, Knysna and Plettenberg bay in one holiday. Beautiful area with lots do so. Plett itself had the Bird Sanctuary, Robberg Hike and the Keurboomstrand boat hire up the river as highlights for me. Lots of Dolphins visible from Arch Rock side. I will absolutely visit again. The Lookout Deck and Enrico's are two awesome and vibee restruarants right on the beach.
Plettenberg bay is a must! It has stunning beaches, great for swimming or walking. All major shops are close by, perfect weather, rivers for boating or water sports, and stunning restaurants. Definitely a must see!
Plettenberg Bay
Good location as three restaurant options and beach close. initially offered Rm 3 next to parking area, small and confined, although clean. not at all ‘beachfront’. ended up paying extra for beachfront (Ebony), but above a bar that, it turned out, was being renovated so noisy until after 10pm and started again 7am. little sleep. anyway, better room, kitchen area, and view. Great breakfast. Expensive compared to the last two weeks of hotels in SA.
Plettenberg Bay
We really enjoyed our time here. Hotel room is great and you have a kitchen available to prepare sth to eat if you clean it up afterwards (should be self evident to clean then yourself). The publicly available rooms around a billard table are also great and the wonderful breakfast is a perfect start into new endeavors. Staff is super nice and will help you with adjusting your travel plans according to current conditions.
Plettenberg Bay
The staff! Lucia was a really sweet and kind receptionist. She showed me the hostel and suggested where to go and visit Plettenberg Bay. Irma was the taxi driver who could drive me around and give me a bit of taste of the city with my short visit. And let's not forget the professional barista! He makes the best coffee ever! Don't forget to order one ;)
Plettenberg Bay
One of the nicest places i’ve been staying. Perfectly located on the beach, you can see pods of dolphins playing in the water while having your dinner or enjoying a glass of wine. Food was a really good surprise as well, however for breakfast there is room for improvements :)

Plettenberg Bay
The staff, especially the resort manager Yolandi Van Graan, were most welcoming and helpful. They even posted us a shirt that we forgot in our room to another town. That kind of extra effort is very special. The location was perfect for exploring the surroundings, fast access to everything. Our family 2-bed room apartment was very big and beautifully furnished. The garden, kids play areas and pools were all in great condition and enjoyable.
